Going on 4day March 6-10th and deciding on excursions. My mother has not been snorkeling before, so I am wondering which is better snorkeling (or are both fine?) the trip in Nassau, Caribbean Queen or Seahorse Snorkel Adventure on Castaway Cay? Thank you for your time.
:jumping4:
The sand at the snorkel lagoon gets so stirred up you can't see a thing. Although the visablity got better the further you went...it still wasn't super clear. And I didn't see the amazing sea life like I was expecting. The adult beach area...was alot clearer...but like American Scrapper mentioned there wasn't much sea life at all. My only other snorkeling experience has been in Hawaii...and CC was nothing like over there. I was kind of wondering about the "Seahorse Snorkel Adventure" in that...I wonder if they take you out some place else...around a reef or something...someplace where there wouldn't be as many people and you wouldn't have the stirred up sand. if so it may be worth it.
The reef was nowhere near shore, so you'd have to be a confident swimmer. I don't remember the name of the excursion but any that take you to a reef would be fine, I'm sure.
