I currently have ressies at POR. But I have been looking at the map of POFQ. They say that the POFQ has courtyards. Are these courtyards little areas with tables and chairs? My husband and I would like to stay somewhere where you could get away from the hotel room and sit in the evening air. So what are the courtyards?

No, I don't recall tables and chairs in the courtyards. We did have a room with a courtyard view that was very well manicured with a fountain. There may have been a bench to sit on but I don't think anything else.

The only reason why I say Riverside is better is because the food court has more to offer and you are closer to that one. You can always walk to French Quarter from Riverside. Also, the game room was bigger at Riverside. And there is more landscaping at Riverside. Ok, those are three reasons.

I LOVE RIVERSIDE!!!
This time we will be staying at Wilderness Lodge, but I still want RIVERSIDE!!

Not only was the room immaculate, and the CM's great, but the other guests were amazing too.

(We arrived late at night, and Bell Services was closed. We were lugging our suitcase to our room, and barely managing, when another GUEST offered to help!) This is only one of many great folks there. Also, I love to get the Fried Chicken & Fries in the Foodcourt...mmm.

I really loved it there, and even though I want to try the ones we've never been to, I still feel pulled to Riverside.

I voted for POR because that's my favorite, but if we could vote twice, DH would come in and vote for PO-FQ. So I guess one for each!

Yes POFQ has courtyards but they are fairly large and I don't recall any tables and chairs. There are benches though. There are a couple of nice spots with benches. One is the frog fountain.
Still I prefer POR. I like the Alligator Bayou section for its forest and remote feeling. There is a real pretty gazebo with benches in the Magnolia Bend section.

Both are great as far as I'm concernted. I like the riversided just a wee bit more. The Magnolia Bend area is great. Just wish they didn't change the name and confuse me. :D I loved the name Dixie Landings.

I don't recall ever really seeing tables and chairs in the couryards at POR. They were beautiful areas though and did see rabbit hopping around the couryards at night.
