I can only visit one for one day. Which one do you like better and why? Keep in mind I like wild rides and am 17.

Seventeen years old--wild rides?? IOA without a doubt. It has Spiderman, Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Dudley's, Jurassic Park river ride and Bluto's barge. Of course US has MIB and the Mummy.

IOA for thrill rides. But I'd get a 1 day/2 park ticket so you could do the Mummy and Men in Black at Universal.

Don't forget Dr Doom,,,,, yeah,, if you only have one day, IOA for sure. I love Mummy,, but that is really the only 'thrill' type ride at Universal.

yes for thrill rides, DEFINITELY IOA!!! My sister and I (16 and 22) loved IOA for both the thrill rides and how well it was decorated- seuss landing was a blast, it's so cute even for us old kids!!

I think Universal has much more to offer than IOA. IOA is really fun to go to once because it is different with its uniquely themed islands. But really....there are only about 2-3 rides at each one. Spiderman and the Hulk are great for teens, as well as the dueling dragons. Besides that, I don't think the park has that much to offer over and above Universal. It's just different! I believe Universal actually has more in the way of actual rides.

IOA also has Dr. Doom, Dudley, Popeye, and Jurassic Park. All of these are favorites with teens.

Most teens also love Mummy, MIB, Back to the Future, Shrek, Terminator, and Horror makeup at Universal.

For genuine high-octane thrill rides, IOA wins hands down (although the Mummy is a blast). And this may help: Do you like water rides? If so, keep in mind IOA has Ripsaw Falls, probably the best flume in the world; Bluto's Barges, probably the best raging-river raft in the world; and Jurassic Park's River Adventure, probably the best Shoot-the-Chutes in the world.

And for twisted people like me, they also have a seemingly endless array of devices to shoot or drop water on others as they ride the abovementioned. Just give me a pocket full of quarters and a spot on the bridge over the turn at Ripsaw Falls and I'm happy. Here's a tip - wave and smile friendly at the nice folks as they come around towards the bridge - when they wave back, blast 'em. For this, water cannon #5 can't be beat ...

We were there this past week. Isle of Adventure. For your age & description has all the thrill rides except Mummy and Back to The Future (I could be forgetting something).

Great replies! I think I'm going to get the combo pass since i dont want to forgo the new mummy ride in universal studios! I cant wait to try out the coasters at IOA- see how they compare to six flags. thanks for your help!

I'm sure you're going to find between the theming, (you'll especially see it at DD), and the uniqeness of the 2 coasters at IOA, six flags will never be the same. then you have the 2 best dark rides on earth, Spidey and ROTM. have a blast, you made the right decision. :D

thanks! i know you cant compare six flags at all! the theming at disney and universal is unbelievable- cant wait til my trip!

I definitely go with the majority on this one...IOA is the best! I haven't been on the Mummy ride yet, so I can't compare, but I absolutely love Dueling Dragons and the Hulk!! :)

Have a great trip! :)
