Which is better? Florida Rate or 40% pin code?

I can't seem to find the answer to this question.

I'm going down to Florida for my best friends 50th birthday in May. She's a Florida resident (though newly located there and not yet experienced Disney) so could get a Resident rate or I have a 40% off pin code. So which would be better to use? I can't find resident rates for the values or modes to compare!

Can anyone help?
