I think anyone can make an argument for any of the above. My DH likes the sit down after walking all day in the parks he likes to sit and have the food come to him. I like the buffet, because you can taste a bit of everything.
I am sure you will be happy with whatever you choose! :goodvibes

The one food experienc we have not liked is the family style breakfast at the character meals. What is up wit the sausage that is like mini brats, hate them.

I think it really depends on the restaurant. I like GG and LTT's family style. I also like CP's buffet. TS is great just about anywhere.

We love the family style at Whispering Canyons Lodge's breakfast at the WL.

I'm fine with any meal for the most part, but when you have kids and a buffet it gets crazy. You have to carry their plate and yours or make two trips, who watches the bags at the table. Then you might have to carry many drinks too.

We like them all for different reasons. Buffets are nice for a hearty, choice-filled start to your day. We usually skip lunch (DD always needs something, though) and have a family-style or full-service dinner, because by then we need a break and would rather not have to get our own food.

I like the buffet myself because I try many different food items at one time. It's no big deal to me to get up and walk to get my food. I have never had a meal served family-style so I cannot speak for that. Table service is just like going to any other restaurant. But if I am hungry, I want my food now and a buffet allows me that.

But whichever you choose, you sill be happy. Try all three and see what works best for you.

I think, as others have said, that it depends on the person.

My BF loves buffett. He wants to eat it all of the time, wether at home or at Disney. Me, not so much (I have food allergries, so buffetts are not always a wise choice...)

I personally like table service best, but family style is good too! :goodvibes

I prefer Buffet (especially during breakfast) YUMMY; but as stated above from other posters, it really depends on the person!

I think you might get a wider range of opinions if you post this in the Disney Restaurant thread! :)

Whichever you pick, I think they are all great selections.... :goodvibes

I like sit down because I am not a big eater and everytime I get up to go to the buffet my 3 small children follow me and I forget what I was going to go up for and end up getting something they ask me for. :rotfl:

I agree that it's up to the individual. People have their preferences. We really like buffets at breakfast, because we're typically starving and love being able to eat right away, eat whatever we want and eat as much as we want. Plus, you get characters. We've never tried buffets at other times, though we will be on our upcoming trip, and are looking forward to the variety the lunch and dinner buffets will offer.

As for family style, we have had our meals that way at Liberty Tree, Garden Grill and Ohana, and absolutely LOVED it!!! You get a lot of food, they bring back whatever you want more of and the food in each of these places is excellent.

We tend to do the sit-down types for dinner, intermingled with the other choices, because sometimes you just want to be waited on.

Have fun!

For the many choices, I find buffets are better for my family. Of course a sit down meal is more relaxing for Mom!

We didn't like the Family style mealsas much as Buffets and sit downs. I personally like the buffets as I can try a variety of things !

DH and I are huge buffet fans, mostly because there arent any where we live and we can get a larger selection of food. We can also set the pace of our meal which is a nice factor...if we want to chill out or hurry up....

We love CP (breakfast and dinner), Cape May (breakfast and dinner), Beirgarten for dinner.

We did the Norway breakfast once with the family style platter and the buffet and that was very good and our waiter was very quick to bring out a second platter.

And we do our share of regular TS sit down order through a waitress places too.

Wow, it sure sounds like we eat alot! :rolleyes1
