which is better....Boma for breakfst or dinner?

i am trying to decide which to go to...dinner or breakfast. We are staying at the AKL and wanted to try Boma with our 6yr and 10yr old girls. Both which are picky. My husband and I are going to Jiko ourselves one night...can't wait to try it also. If anyone any idea which is better please let me know.

I can't tell you about the dinner ,because we have never done it. However,it does gets rave reviews.Now, their breakfast=OUTSTANDING.
We have never had a breakfast like Boma!! On our first trip we had 1 ADR for breakfast ,and then after eating there cancelled all our other breakfasts for the rest of the week to go back to Boma's. It is THAT good. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Absolute best breakfast potatoes I've had anywhere....anytime!!!!! HTH..............Good Luck

I agree, their breakfast is absolutely incredible, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend it.

I've been to both and I'd say, it's hard to make a decision on which is better. They are both wonderful. The buffet at both meals are HUGE!!! If I had a choice, I'd say "Go To Both!!! If you can't, I guess I'd say breakfast.

I would say dinner. But, I am not a huge "breakfast foodie." Eggs, potatoes and meat are eggs, potatoes and meat to me. Their dinner, however, is quite an experience. Definitely different, absolutely delicious!

I haven't done the breakfast at AKL... I'd have to try and plan it around an AK day or be staying at the AKL to do that one. (hrmm... I might have to take another look at my ADRs to see if I can work it in)...

Anyway, I go to Boma for dinner every trip. It's one of my favorites. The foods are different, nothing like what we could get around here. However, if you have really picky eaters, they might not willing to try things that don't look or taste familiar.

While there are going to be some Boma breakfast die-hards out there, I personally would *NOT* waste a mealtime on Boma's breakfast and would do dinner instead. Breakfast is breakfast and if it is between that and dinner at this restaurant, I'd do the latter in a heartbear. Consider dinner. It is fantastic!

My family has done both and love them equally and for different reasons. The breakfast is truly outstanding and the fresh fruit is the best we have ever had. The strawberries stick out the most for me and my girls LOVED the yogurt with granola. The made to order omelettes are very good and very satisfying - we almost always skipped lunch and just snacked till dinner when we did Boma's - but it depends on how your family eats.

As for dinner, the options were endless. The different meats, veggies, and unique foods left us wanting it again and again. We ate their several times our last visit and never had the same meal twice! My family rates Bomas our favorite restuarant and my girls are very picky eaters!! I would try both if you have the option - I assure you, you won't be disappointed.

I tried Boma for dinner on my last visit after being told by several CMs that it was voted THE favorite WDW restaurant of CMs. I found it quite ordinary albeit with some unusual dishes. I am, however, not a fan of buffets and my preferences go to fine dining.

I would think that "picky eaters" might not enjoy it (but then again I appear to be in the minority.)

One of the marvelous things about WDW is the many diverse opportunities to explore new things. I'm sure your kids will find something they like and you will get a new experience while your at it.

Over the several trips we have made to WDW, my wife and grandkids seem to remember best the fun we had even when things didn't go as perfect as we wanted. What do you have to lose? The majority of people seem to love Boma.

As for me, I'll be at Victoria & Alberts or Bistro Paris. Have a great time

Hard to compare a $100+ per person meal to something that is less than $30/pp for all you can eat. However, to compare Boma to all of the other non-signature restaurants, it's one of the best (my opinion of course). I'd imagine more people can afford to dine there than places like V&A, Citricos, CA Grill, etc...

But I'm with ya, love the fine dining too... now if I could only get DP to enjoy these types of meals without asking for ketchup... (Can you imagine, going to V&A and getting a nice filet and someone asking for ketchup?!... I'd die... which is why we haven't been yet )

I have been to both and even though it is a hard choice i would say Breakfast. Boma breakfast is my favorite.

Picky eater here! I have been to both breakfast and dinner at Boma. The dinner gives you the opportunity to try different things (there are more unique things at dinner than breakfast). Both are good..the frunch at breakfast is great instead of regular OJ. I would say try the dinner...it gives more of the experience of Boma than breakfast and if you have the time do breakfast as well.

We just ate dinner at Boma on Thursday and absolutely LOVED it. Yes, there are somewhat exotic selections, but then there are also more traditional things like prime rib and roasted chicken. One of my boys ate a ton of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches while DH and I enjoyed our less familiar choices. I just wish we didn't have to go all the way to AKL to eat there!
