As for the water parks-- they certainly aren't like most hometime waterparks or even the Six Flags waterparks. They are wonderfully themed and incredible to visit. I just love TL and feel I could spend a whole trip there!

As for chosing a waterpark or Sea World-- that's really a tough choice. Both would be great. I'd go w/ whichever you really want to do more. You can't go wrong there.

As for a hotel depends on your budget and how many people are in your party. If there's 5 or more remember only certain hotels will accomodate in one room. So getting 2 rooms may have an effect on this. Also, depending on your budget you may want to look into renting DVC points (check out our DVC board for great tips on this). Also, do you want to stay onsite or is offsite an option. I LOVE being onsite-- BUT w/ larger groups or longer stays it is really, really nice to be in a pool home rental or condo. More room and more amenities for a great price. Either way you may want to check out the Orlando Hotels and Disney resort boards here for more info on both options.

As for the parks-- we 99% try to arrive at opening. We feel you can get soooo much done in those first 2 hours before the crowds build. So, we really like that timeframe. Also, whether you stay onsite or off will depend on if you chose to use EMH.

As for where we've stayed. In the last 3 years we've stayed (somtimes multiple stays): Dolphin, Pool Home, Sheraton Safari, Holiday Inn, and Day's Inn. My favorite was either the Dolphin or Pool Home. The pool home just couldn't be beat. We went with my parents, my Sister, BIL, and neice in 1 home. Then my aunt, unlce, cousin, and her dd in another home. We went for 9 days and it was great having our own pools and extra space for the kiddies. However, I LOVED the access the Dolphin had to the parks. Also, the resort itself was just truly amazing!

Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are great fun in the summer, but they can get very crowded later on in the morning until about 3PM. We just got back from 10 nights at WDW and went to BB once and TL three times. Spent at least 7 hours each time.

We also did SW while we were there. We did Discovery Cove on our first full day and it was great. We got 7 day SW passes included with our DC tickets, so we decided to head over there. We did SW about two years ago, so we were kind of familiar with SW. We arrived at 9 and left about 1. We did Atlantis a few times, ate a late breakfast then headed over to the Shamu show. The whales weren't in the cooperative mood, so the show was not as much fun.

Comparing SW with the WDW Water Parks is like comparing apples with oranges. Two entirely different creatures. SW could more accurately be compared with AK, but it is nothing like AK.

Depends on what you want to do. The slides are really better at BB, but the wave pool at TL beats BB hands down. The wave pool at BB is merely a bobbing pool that gets me seasick. TL has 16' waves that come in every 10 minutes. TL also has the Shark Reef, but it is slow if you don't get there right away.

Actually, you have four adults by Disney ticketing with your 19 and 10 yr old. Your 19 yr old will be considered an adult in your room as well. So if you have two parents, plus the three kids, you actually have three adults, one junior and one child. You may have to pay extra for your 19 yr old. You will need a delux hotel that sleeps five or POR has some rooms that sleep 5.

Get there early if you want to do the attractions. The lines get longer and longer as the morning goes on. Get Fast Passes where ever you can. The Extra Magic Hours in the evening are pretty crowded. EMH in the morning are good times to get those primo rides in.

We stay in DVC resorts since we are DVC members. We like them all. But of the other non-DVC resorts, we like GF, Polynesian, Coronado Springs.

In your second question, you ask us to choose between Sea World and the WDW water parks. I would choose both!

Sea World has great shows, rides, animal encounters (I love the dolphin nursery) and educational stuff for all ages and can be a bit more relaxing than some of the other parks in Orlando.

If I had to choose between the water parks that Orlando has to offer, I would go for one of the WDW ones as opposed to Wet 'N' Wild on I-Drive or Water Mania in Kissimmee. My reasons? The themeing and design as well as the flumes, the chance to relax and do nothing and float along on the "lazy river" rides! :cool1:
