I am trying to choose between these 3 for our trip in August...could someone recommend the best one? I am concerned that Pop Century wouldn't be as fun as HIFS, but is it nicer? I have heard some negative feedback about Doubletree, but it seems like if you poke around enough..you can get negative feedback about almost ANYTHING!! :)
Suggestions ASAP would be appreciated!!! Thanks!!

Hi LittleMermaid04 - Welcome to the DIS!:D

To answer your question we might need a little more info. Will you be taking children? What time of year will you be going (will the pool be a big factor)? What are the ages of your children? Have you ever stayed onsite?

Not knowing any of the above, I'll just tell you what I know. If you haven't been to WDW before or very many times and have small children, then you might want to consider HIFS. It has a great pool for small children, lots of room, a free breakfast, and you can usually get a discounted rate. If you've been to WDW, don't have too many people in your party, and you want to be onsite, then stay at Pop Century. You get the WDW feel, and the buses. Both HIFS and PC have a food court of some sort. PC is newer, but HIFS is also nice with it's own theming. I really wouldn't consider Doubletree unless you were on a budget and wanted to use Priceline. Not that you'd be guaranteed to get the Doubletree, but I wouldn't pay good money for that hotel over the other two. JMHO. :D

I can only speak of Pop Century since we always stay on site. We stayed there this past January for the marathon weekend (which was the most well organized event I have ever witnessed) and loved it! The theming is wonderful, especially if you like pop culture. Disney did a great job of mixing in the Disney characters (four story replicas) that go along with each decade. The pools are very nicely done. The resort sits along a huge lagoon that will eventually have phase two on the other side (spanned by the Generation Gap bridge:D ).

Also as mentioned earlier, there is the aspect of staying on-site. It is convenient and you never have to leave the magic.

I've stayed at HIFS and PC. My vote would be for HIFS, as long as you have a car or plan on renting one.

The rooms at PC are SMALL. 260 sq ft vs 486 sq ft at HIFS. At HIFS you get 3 separate rooms, 3 tv's, a frige, microwave. If you have small children, they will love it :).

WILL YOU HAVE A CAR? Will you want to go back to your room in the middle of the day? What rates do you have?
