Which Ipad to get?

After an e-mail that I sent to the podcast team, Pete has convinced me that I need an Ipad. I went to the Apple store which is always a mad house. Now I'm not sure which one that I want. There were 6 different types to chose from. I'm looking for opinions. I want enough memory but I wasn't really sure how much I would need. I also didn't know if I would need 3G. I have it on my Iphone. I use my Iphone for a couple of work apps but not that many. I'm looking for experienced Ipad users to help. Thanks

I got the 32g and think thats perfect. I have movies, music, apps galore and room to spare.

I got the wifi one thinking the same thing....well I have my phone. But, I wish I could go back and get the 3g. I would even be willing to trade my phone in for a simpler phone (gasp) in exchange for 3g on my ipad. I have the droid though and dont like it so much.

I have the 32gb ATT3G and I think it's important to think how about how you will use the device..

I don't have the complete Itune libarary on my Ipad, just a couple playlists. My family shares one ITune account and I don't need my kids' selection on my Ipad or Iphone.

I also only keep a few photo albums, the ones that I want to show off

about 6 movies...and aboout 100 apps (some i can delete)..

i have 16 GB left..so I'm really glad I didn't get the 16GB model.

As for 3G, if you can afford it initially, definitely get it. You pay for the data plan only when you need it by month. I was traveling last month and the data plan was a life saver.

ps..as to ATT vs. Verizon..If you travel outside the country, the ATT model uses a sim card that allows you purchase and use a local sim card.

So the 32gb with 3G is the best? I was thinking about the 32 already. I didn't think that I would need the 64. I have a large itunes account too because of some of my kids music. I have a laptop & a netbook. I haven't put Itunes on the netbook yet because it is so big. A friend of mine told me to get one of the portable hard drives for my netbook. I take either the laptop or netbook when we travel mostly to update my Iphone or to download photos so I can delete my memory card occassionally. I forgot that I would have to decide whether to go with AT & T or Verizon. I have a cell phone with both right now.

I think a 16GB is more then sufficient for most users, unless you're downloading your whole music library and few uncompressed movies.

As for checking them out, go to a BestBuy, they have them there if you just want to play with them (they tend to be a little less busy than the Apple Store).

I hadn't thought about going to Best Buy. Thanks for the idea. I usually like the staff better there anyway.
