Which hotels have suites?

My family (mom, dad, brother, husband, and I) will be heading to Disneyland next month. In order for the weird factor to be kept at a minimum, and to save costs on purchasing 2 rooms, which hotels have suites would you recommend that would be comfortable?

Most of the hotels have a few suites. Some have ajoining rooms as well.

Desert inn and suites is pretty close to the parks and have suites that sleep up to 10 people. I think Park Vue does too.

The Homewood Suites on Harbor by Hilton-Maingate Area has 2 bedroom, 1 bath or 2 bedroom 2 bath places..here's a description of the latter:

2 QUEEN BEDS 2 BDRM 2 BATH SUITE NONSMOKING...Spacious Two-Bedroom (1 Queen/1 Queen) Non-Smoking Suite, 800 sq. ft. suite, features two bedrooms, each with one queen-size bed & bathroom per room. This is a pirate themed suite that has a king room on one side, connected to a room that has a bunk bed and a twin size pull out couch; it faces the highway but has sound proof windows so the rooms are very quiet. We also have a Queen suite that is a room with two queen beds, connected to another room with a regular sized sofa bed and a small kitchenette area; this one facing the garden pool. Our other suite is a King Suite, this room faces Disneyland and is a king bed room connected to another room with a regular sized sofa bed. Hey, Kriss, I know a common question about any bunk beds are What length are they? Standard twin bed? XL twins, like in college dorms? Something shorter than standard twin? Because I have seen different reports about their length, which determines how old/tall a person can be and still use them comfortably.

Many hotels say their rooms are suites but they are just big room without much separation. We like the RI Maingate and stay in the Penthouse. Hot breakfast and grocery shopping makes life much easier. We like to try Hojo if they provided a warm breakfast. RI saves us $$$when the 6 of us, 18 and
above travel together.

I absolutely LOVE these suites! We stayed in them in Nov and are returning in a week, then again in April and May.

BUT, they are geared towards families with kids that can use the bunk and 1 set of parents in the king room.

For you, it sounds like a suite with 2 separate bedrooms, plus a sofa sleeper for your brother, would be ideal.
I believe Desert Inn & Suites has that configuaration. They have floor plans of the suites on their website.

Maybe a stupid question but everytime ilook on Hojo's site for these suite rooms
I see "unavaialble." If they are available then why are they not bookable.

The RI Maingate is a 10-15 minute walk depending on how fast you walk. Some people state it is up to a 20minute walk but that's not true, unless they're snails. Most wait time is at the traffic lights.

RI is amazing, decent breakfast, excellent facilities and large rooms and suites.
They are also connected to the ART but it'd be almost as quick to walk IMO.

Have to agree here, could never figure out why it would take 20 minutes, takes 10-12 0n avg at the end of the day..like stated the light slow things up and I really do like the hot breakfast, gets me going. But I do get up at 0415 soI have a bit of time.

It is 3/4 of a mile. My kids do walk it, generally 15 mins for them. (I use a scooter, it is 10 mins at full speed.) If you don't want to walk it, ART picks up at building 6.

My wifes pedometer measures it at about 1/2 mile numerous time, maybe 3/4 at the very far end. It could be defective but I doubt it..any way it is a great place to stay.

We stayed at the Homewood in June 2011 and really loved it. I cant's say enough great things. Clean rooms, great staff, good breakfast and mgr's reception, warm pool and their own shuttle.

For our New Year's trip we decided to try the Staybridge which also has suites. We would have gone back to the Homewood but the price difference was substantially higher over the holidays. I wasn't very impressed with Staybridge and wouldn't stay there again. Room was much, much, much smaller than Homewood. Breakfast was comparable to Homewood but the Mgr's night wasn't as good. The ART was great the first few days of our trip but stunk at the end of our trip. We went from shuttles every 20 minutes to not seeing one for over an hour!!!!

Heading back to the park in late September. Unless the price is outrageous we'll go back to Homewood.

I measure from the entrance to the parking lot at the RI to the center of the esplanade. You can see the route and markings here.
I always use the center of the esplanade as sometimes I am getting distances from the west side, so it is a fair point. Looking at the distances, if you were measuring to the west side of "The Crosswalk", it is a 1/2 mile. It is a 1/4 mile from the crosswalk to the center of the esplanade.

I don't recommend the Staybridges. In addition to your comments, they are cheaply built. I love Homewood Suites and Residence Inns. RI Maingate is my absolute favorite. It's just a friendly location.
