Hi folks!

We are booking a Land Sea package tomarrow (for 9/11) and need help in deciding which hotel to stay in. We are catagory 4 so which is best? We will be in the hotel for 4 nights.

Polynessia
Beach Club
Animal Kingdom
Swan/Dolphin (do they have rooms for 5?)

Thanks for any opinions!!!

One more bit of info. I am a BIG chicken when it comes to transportation so we will be renting a car to get to the parks. Maybe one hotel is better than another for getting to the parking lots??

Thanks again! :earsgirl:

Edit to add:
There will be two adults and three girls ages 11, 6, and 2

They are all good - just different.

My preference would be the top 3, as they are truly "on-site" resorts.

The Polynesian is right on the monorail, with a great Pacific feel.
Animal Kingdom is awesome - you get to watch the animals from the lodge.
Beach Club has an awesome pool.

No matter what you decide on, you will be very happy!

A lot could depend on who is travelling with you. We have two DD's 3 & 6, so we chose the Polynesian for our land/sea since most of our time will be spent in the MK (easy monorail access). We happen to love the Polynesian's charm and atmosphere. I love being able to see the castle from the hotel pool.

The Beach club is also a great choice. Close to Epcot and the pool is an attraction in itself.

Consider your group, the feel of the hotel, and ease of getting to the parks.

Oh lordy, I wish I was having to make this decision for myself! Here's my take on it. First two are hotels I have stayed in.

AKL, a terrificly themed hotel, smallish rooms. Also, this is the one location where having a car is a good thing. Has the BEST restaurant in all of WDW. I really want to splurge and stay here the night before my Jan cruise, just to eat at Boma!

Swan/Dolphin, no Disney theme, bigger rooms, Great Heavenly beds. These are great hotels, BUT you can often get rooms here for less than the other choices. So for you're money, to my mind, you're getting more at the other locations. The Epcot/MGM area is my favorite location and why, if it were my choice I'd choose.....

Beach Club, I've always wanted to stay here....actually I'd like to get married here ::yes:: Beaches and Cream and Stormalong Bay right outside your door. Walk to Epcot and MGM. Have a breakfast egg/muffin at the Boardwalk Bakery, singing along with the boys at Jellyrolls....my idea of a great location.

However, with the little girls, the Polynesian may be your best choice. You have the monoirail to MK, watching the fireworks from the beach, Kona Cafe for Tonga Toast for breakfast, all great things. Also you can transfer on the monorail to Epcot and therefore the Friendship boat to MGM....you really don't need a car and you'd only have to use the Disney bus to get to Animal.Kingdom.

Let us know what you decide!

Thank you all for your input.I ended up taking a different route by booking the cruise and hotel seperately through CruiseCompete. Michelle was great and I got the catagory 4 on the 3 day cruise and will be spending land time at the Port Orleans Riverside with 4 day park passes AND dinner option for about $900 less than staying at one of the other hotels. I could not justify that kind of money for a 4 night stay anywhere! :Pinkbounc

We're leaving on September 11 and hope to have a great time! :hourglass :cool1:
Thanks again for your input!
