Which hotel?

We've never stayed on-property at US but want to take advantage of the front of the line perks. It will be Dh, 16 year old DD and 12 year old DS. Obviously the kids can't sleep together so I was wondering if any rooms had a daybed or pullout. Also which rooms have queen beds. If we had two queen beds DS and DH could bunk together and DD and I could sleep together. This would eliminate the need for a rollaway. I know how to find the best deals at WDW but have no idea about discounts and deals for US.

If someone could answer the following I'd be greatful

Where to I look to find deals and discounts? I have a AAA card.
Which hotel has the best pool area for teens?
Which hotel is closest to walk to everything?
Which hotel can has queen beds?

We've stayed at the HRH and loved it. I have two teens and it was a lot of fun for them. We got the Entertainment card rate which came to half price. Good deal! You can obtain a book (they are only $10 now, but expire November 1) from their website -- Entertainment book They will issue a new book effective November 1. They usually cost $25 new, depending on the city you get. I think that's probably the cheapest rate available if you can get it. You can always call the hotel and find out the AAA rate and also ask about the Entertainment rate. We paid $135/nite for pool view. The room had two queen size beds. They do have larger rooms, such as jr. suites I believe. Go to the top of this page and check out the threads on the different hotels. The HRH is the closest to Citywalk -- about a 5 minute walk, but the other two aren't that far away (all within walking or water shuttle distance). The PBH is the most expensive, then the HRH, then the RPR.

We all really enjoyed staying onsite at US!

All the Universal hotels have queen beds or King bed in all room categories. The HRH has a deluxe room category that offers 2 queens and a pull-out.

The least expensive would be the Royal Pacific Resort, although Hard Rock can be had for a little more.
Deals and discounts:

The Entertainment Card is usually the deepest discount. Fan Club Card and Annual Pass would be the next best with AAA giving the smallest discount.

You can call 1 800 BE A STAR and request the above discounts for your dates to see whats available. You can check the fan club and AAA rate online at Universal using the codes AAA or FAN.
Best pool area for teens would probably be HRH first with RPR coming in a close 2nd (all a matter of opinion). HRH is the closest to walk to Universal and RPR is closest to walk to IOA.

When available RPR can be had for 99-110 using the entartainment card and I did recently get $109 a night at RPR using my fan club card.

There is a post on this board for the Fan Club Card from Tinkerbarb and you can email or PM her and request a card. She is wonderful! The Entertainment card for 2003 expires Nov 1, 2003 and you would need next years card if going beyond that date. They are not on sale yet but should be soon.

Some of the pool side rooms have adjoining room doors, I suggest the 5th floor or higher pool side , anyl ower the palm trees block the view, the garden view on the side of the building near the boat taxi dock on the 4th floor is nice. (very quite)
We were in 4095 and had a canapy over our window, one of only three on that side of the building. When it rain we could see perfectly plus the sun in the morning was shaded after 9am.

We have a deluxe room booked at HRH for Oct. It has 2 queen beds and a fold out sofa. We got it for the Entertainment rate of $160 which I thought was a good deal. If you booked ones of those you and hubby can have the same bed and each kid would have their own place to sleep.
