We have stayed at the Grand Floridian several times (DH & I love it there, except the price, even for garden view room), once at Poly and once at Beach club. Liked them all, especially like the GF & Poly for monarail service. But, if wanted to get the most bang for the buck (say in June), where would you stay? We stayed at GF & Poly w/ DS(currently 5), aged 3 & turning 5 at the time, it was late Oct, so really didn't do much at hotels, including swimming. A weeks stay in the summer affords the oportunity to spend time at parks, hotel, and other places we have never taken him. Do most hotels have "kids clubs", and if so do they cost $ ? DS enjoyed his time at the oceanears club on Wonder, and it was nice for DH & I to have some time to ourselves. I really want to talk DH into this for next June (09), he wants to go to the Carribean, looked into all inclusive Beaches resort, not bad, but airfare is nuts !! It is so expensive and is truly becoming a cost prohibitive factor. Well, let me know about your ideas of good , fun "kid" pleasing hotels !! And by "kids" I mean age wise and kids at heart !!
Thanks in advance !!!

IMO is Dolphin/Swan. If price were no issue, AKL or WL since you have not been there. Dolphin had a kids club as does AKL (Simbas Cubhouse) and yes like everything @ Disney, they cost $. (around $45 min. and on up)
d/s are special because of (besides the price) location. location. location. (and the heavenly bed)
Have fun!:cool1:

Our two favorite resorts are the Poly and the WL :thumbsup2. Our #1 choice is the Poly, but we also love the WL for different reasons :rolleyes1. The WL has a great atmosphere and although it's not on the monorail, it does have convenient boat service to the MK :goodvibes. Plus it has a great pool and the entire resort is just beautiful ;). It's also a deluxe resort but doesn't come with the deluxe price tag like that of the GF, Poly, and CR :). I'm sure you'll have a great trip no matter which resort you choose :yay:. Good luck and happy planning :dance3:.

I would recommend AKL because it is so unique. It also has a very nice Kids' Club. $11/hour and that includes supper. They take kids ages 4-12. 2 hour min. charge. Hours are approx. 4:30-midnight.
AKL has a LOT of great activities for the children, most of them do not include an additional charge.
AKL has a great pool area and I think it is a stunning resort :thumbsup2 I've stayed there at least 10 times in all different types of rooms so please let me know if you have any questions. You can PM me.

With the age of your son you can't go wrong with any of the Monorail Resorts. The Contemporary no longer has a kids club, however the Polynesian has The Neverland Club which is open from 5:00 PM - 12:00 AM. The Grand Floridian has The Mouseketeer Club which is open from 4:30 PM - 12:00 AM. The only thing I am not sure of is the cost of how much they are per hour.

Just wanted to add that the Neverland Club opens at 4pm b/c I have taken my DD there several times right at 4 to make it over to the spa ;)

IMO the Boardwalk would be great for you. They have a lot of services at the resort, plus the great access to Epcot and Disney STudios.

I would suggest the Wilderness Lodge....the theming atthe hotel is absolutely amzing especially at night....the boat service to MK is wonderful adn we found that the bus servic eto the rest of the parks was not bad at all....they also have a kids club and it is just a great resort to walk around...it is so beautiful there
