Hi everyone
My first post here on disboards...hope you can help!
I'll be heading to DLP next july or august and cant decide between newport bay club admirals floor and the disneyland hotel. I just read on the new official site that the V.I.P fastpass is available for admiral floor guests. I'm thinking this could be very useful during the busy summer season. The money saved on the hotel could be used to have a longer holiday aswell;) Have stayed in all the onsite hotels but never at the disneyland hotel .What to do? :confused3 Sorry for the long post. All advice and opinions would be most appreciated.
Thanks a lot
Paul

Never stayed at NPB but the disneyland is very nice and have nice big rooms. Though I couldn't help but laugh at the admiral man who was running after teh VEA bus cos his clients weren't ready to leave. He did look a bit silly. We only got 1 fastpass each per day but it did come in handy.

Hi Paul and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:

DLH is much closer to the park but NBC definitely gets equaly good reviews. Admiral floor also means you miss out on the breakfast rush.
As you say NBC could mean long stay and pennies for other items, so I'd go for it :)

Hello Paul,
I will be going to DLP this Dec.26th and have booked an Admiral's Floor Room. I will tell you all about it when I get back. Are you sure that there is a V.I.P Fast Pass for the Admiral's Floor ? I just looked on the new web page and it shows only for the suites, unless you were thinking of booking a suit. I f you have your doubts, why don't you make a chart with the positive and negative ( I really can't imagine too many) points of booking in one hotel or another...besides the €€€m it will be difficult to find many negative points ! :-)

Welcome to the DIS Paul

That's right. Unless things have changed, you only get the VIP Fastpass if you book a suite in any of the onsite hotels, or Castle Club at the DLH.

You do get some fast passes, (you get 1 per day for the frist 3 days of the trip) at the DisneyLand Hotel however I would never advise booking the DLH just for this "perk". you can easily get a fast pass your self from the machine.

I have stayed at the Disneyland hotel and it is lovely and with bigger rooms and the location is excellent however I don't have that "I can never stay anywhere else" thing.
I would only book the Disneyland hotel if i can afford it for the number of nights that I want to go, if not I would go for the cheaper option.

Thanks for the welcome everyone
Thanks for all the suggestions. Had a better look around the new site and you are right...VIP fastpass for suites only. I think I might stick with the NBC...just means a longer stay next year :)

HI Paul
Just got back from NewPort Bay and its lovely! i would throughtly recommend it to anyone. When I am at the resort I always go around looking around some of the other hotels, never been to the Disneyland Hotel but the inside looks pretty classy! Noticed they are making some renovations on the exterior too
regards
P.
