We have always stayed on i drive never wanting to stay on site but next year we thought we might give it a try. We have been looking at 2 hotels pop century or the carribean beach resort. Has anyone ever stayed at these hotels if so which one is the best and why? We have also heard a lot of people say disney hotels are noisy is this true as i could never put up with this i like my sleep!!!!!

We love both!

Caribbean Beach is more spread out, older, and can be difficult to navigate. But people also say that about POP.

I actually prefer POP to the moderates. But given the choice between the two, if you can afford it, go with CBR!

Disney hotels are NOT noisy. I find a lot of the time that it's Americans who complain about the noise! As long as you don't go during any cheerleading conventions and stay in a budget resort you should be fine. If you're going off season, POP is fine, but if you're going at a busy time maybe CBR would be better.

Arg it's a toss up, I genuinely do love them both, but I think CBR has the advantage due to it having it's own restaurant (POP only has a food court, CBR has both), a main themed pool with a slide and several quiet pools (POP has only big pools, no slides), a much nicer walk around the grounds, and nice bus stops. The bus service at POP tends to be better though. So I guess it depends on what you're looking for!

We stayed at ASMo last year, can't remember it being any noisier than any other hotel I've ever stayed at of course the pool area was quite noisy and as the rooms that are nearer the pools always tend to be 'preferred' it may be prudent to not go for these. We are staying at Pop this september for a week followed by a week at POFQ which does have a reputation as being one of the quieter hotels (I guess because its smaller)

By the way once you've stayed on site you'll never be able to go back to I Drive! We stayed there and as soon as we stayed at Disney we fell in love with it and couldn't go back

I'll agree with that

Our first 3 trips were on i-drive and our last was at ASM and we will never go back to i-drive now.

Once youv'e tried on site hotels and have the benfits of EMH, Disney Dinning, free parking, the extra you pay is well worth it

I have stayed at many different places in Orlando and agree totally with flortelbap, once you have stayed at a Disney Hotel you will not go back!

We started off staying at International Drive and then discovered Disney hotels. The best thing about them is being able to go to a park, come back for a swim and rest and then go back to the parks. It's a much more relaxing way of holidaying.

My favourite budget resort has to be the All Stars as they are great. If you like quieter rooms do not ask for a pool view as these can get a bit noisy.

I have stayed at CBR and loved it although it is vast, but the rooms are lovely.

I am now a DVC member and will stay at OKW, but the All Stars will always have a place in my heart, they are fun and thoroughly Disney.

I agree with everyone's comments about staying in Disney - will never stay off-site again. Have you not looked into CSR. We stayed at CBR 2 years ago and even though it was lovely the pool was very small and the food court rather boring. Stayed at CSR this year and have booked to stay there next year.....again large grounds but fantastic pool area and loads of choice in the food court.

We are staying onsite for the first time this December and can't wait. We have always stayed on I-Drive (apart from the first year we went) and we do enjoy it there, however we fancied trying onsite this time. I have a feeling we will love it :goodvibes

Have stayed twice at OKW and it's the most peaceful hotel I've stayed in anywhere!! :goodvibes
