I'm traveling to DLR April 23 for 5 nts with my family and one daycare child. (10 total) I have the option of staying at one of the following hotels...Desert Inn & Suites, Candy Cane Inn, BW Park Place or the Anaheim Camelot. Out of these 4 I have stayed at the BWPP and DIS years ago and would like to hear opinions.

Is the Camelot worth the extra few steps and money? Are the rooms large enough for 5 comfortably? Sleeping bag on floor good idea?

Thx

We have stayed at the CCI and IMO the rooms would be small for 5 people.

Of the hotels you listed, I believe only the Desert Inn has a suite that can accomodate 10 people.

You can actually see what suite options are available if you go to this site ...
http://www.accommodationsneardisney.com/

On the right side of the page, scroll down and you'll see a slideshow that says Large Family Suites. If you click on the arrows, you can see what kinds of suites each hotel offers. Click on the photo of a suite and you are taken to a page to check availability.

Large suites tend to fill up fast, so only being a month out from your trip, it might be a challenge to find something that large for 5 nights. You may have to go with two rooms ... but at least you'll have a better idea of what suite options are available.

Hope this helps!

If you are trying to fit 5 people per room you would need the Deluxe ones at CCI. They are very nice though and you have a big breakfast, which we usually grab an apple, banana and muffin for later. You also have the private shuttle which is great for afternoon breaks. The rooms also have a fridge and micro, which come in handy. I have found the rooms much quieter than at other places. I'm not sure if it's because they are in a U shape or what. I also like that they have a security guy at night, it made me feel safer with my son and I.

As stated above the Desert Inn has bigger rooms and is very close to the crosswalk to DL. The breakfast is nothing to write home about but you also have the fridge and micro so could just buy your own somewhere. The rooms were a lot cheaper too, just not as nice and worn.

I would chose BWPPI or Camelot as they are close, get good reviews and have an outside pool. If travelling in April Pool is probably not an issue. CCI have very small rooms and is quite a way further (and also more expensive).
