Which Hotel Should we stay at?

Hello everyone! I am a long time lurker, first time poster!!

My DBF and I are planning a trip in June. We are looking for hotels but are not really sure what one would be the best for us. I have been several times and he does not think I know which resort would be good. lol I think he is just excited.

The choices are
Fairfield Inn
Anabella
Desert Palms Hotel and Suites


I have stayed at the first two several times but would like your opinion on the 3rd on the Desert Palms Hotel. Is it within walking distance? Will we need to take ART, do they provide transportation.

Where would you stay. Sorry if this is already been posted.

I would maybe make a poll. Anabella is really nice from everything I've read on here. My aunt stays there and loves it as well. But you will get a lot of response's for HOJO even though thats not on your list.. but I guess its just THAT GOOD

The Desert Palm 'is' within walking distance. Only a couple of hundred feet west of Harbor.

I havn't stayed there yet ( we go in about 2 weeks) But the dis members convinced me..

Beds, service, distance, pools, clean, safe, rate is good (esp with Entertainment rate) ... the list goes on and on.. I'm sure you will get a hojo cheerleader on this soon

Oh, like I said I have never been there, but have talked to the staff several times making special arrangements for our group and what not and they have already shown to be pretty positive people.

I am hoping that he will want to stay here. I think that it looks cool. He just wants somewhere where we can take a bus and I do not want to take a bus because I do not like waiting for it.. He also thinks it will be more expensive.

At HOJO? There is ART there as well as I guess a 7 minute walk. When are you going?

not to be the HOJO cheerleader (lol) but I have stayed there before and plan on staying there again this coming trip.

why is it so great...the water play area and pool, the comfy and very clean rooms, the walk (it's really not bad at all), the keurigs in the room that will save me on coffee money and the entertainment rate. and overall, the very nice and helpful people.

now, if I got a great rate that compared to this one at a place that was a lot closer (meaning right across the street), I may have tried it out.

We are going in June because I will be out of school then, for break. He just likes to take a bus for whatever reason.

I'm planning a first time trip right now too, so I'm curious about the hotels too. What are "entertainment" rates at the HOJO?

I saw on the hojo website that the entertainment rate is a cheaper rate for certain dates.. but they also have blackout dates.
