which hotel is closest to parks?

Which hotels are closest to the entrances of the parks? Are they close enough to walk?

The closest hotel overall is the Grand Californian. There are also a few hotels across the street that are about a 5 minute or more walk to the parks. The closest are the Park Place Inn and the Park Vue Inn.

It shows where all of the hotels are located. The ones on Harbor (like Park Place Inn and Desert Inn and Suites, etc) are right across the street from the main entrances to both parks.

Ironically, both the Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier are a longer hike than many of the non-Disney hotels. However, DLH is fairly close to the monorail in Downtown Disney, depending on which tower you're in. (Sierra is the closest)

<font color=navy>Carousel Inn is also right across the street, and other within-walking-distance are Tropicana, Ramada Maingate Saga Inn, Fairfield Inn.

The DL & PP hotels are a bit further from the DL entrance, but you walk through Downtown Disney, and it makes it nice. Also, like ter-moo said, you can take the monorail in to Tomorrowland at Disneyland. Also, the PP hotel has a private entrance to DCA, so that cuts down on getting to the actual park.

We enjoy Desert Inn and Suites. I think it's a closer walk to the entrance than it is to walk from Disneyland Hotel to the Monorail. Of course the Hotels there are not as nice as Disneyland Hotel but they're a lot cheaper. Desert Inn and Suites is one Hotel over from the traffic light to get to the entrance of Disneyland. Hope that helps when you look at the map. It's good to be close if your kids need to take a nap during the day or in case you forget something at your hotel.

The GC is the closest to both parks, and the most expensive. It'sjust a short stroll through Downtown Disney and across the entrance plaza for dl, it also has an entrance directly into CA, though not everyone is aware of it. The DL hotel is convenient for DL because of the monorail (good if DL will be your focus) and PP for CA.

My favorite Harbor Blvd hotel is "Park Inn Anaheim" next door to McDonalds. Its not the cheapest, but my rooms have been clean, spacious, and well appointed. small breakfast is included, some view rooms available. Its listed as a "boutique" hotel on Hotwire.

I have stayed at the Disneyland hotel, and I thought the Park Inn rooms were nicer. I like to eat & drink at the Disney hotels, but we sleep at the Park Inn across the street.

I just remembered that my sig line says that..... hahaha

You can walk from 80% of the hotels on the map. We usually stay at the Fairfield Inn. The rooms are big and very inexpensive.

We stayed at Radisson Maingate and the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very nice. It took us 10 to 15 minutes to get to the park, but that was taking a slow stroll. If we didn't walk, we took the free bus that picked us up outside the door of the hotel.
