I am looking for a hotel for 3 nights in Orlando. During this time we will visit Universal, Sea World and perhaps a water park (maybe wet & wild). We are 4, kids are 11 and 13. Since we have a rental car vicinity is not soooo important, we even plan to go downtown disney, too.

Our criteria:
- good fun pool (perhaps with waterslide, not necessary)
- breakfast included
- reasonable price
- clean hotel

Any suggestions anybody? (and thanks in advance)

Check www.hotwire.com in the Universal/SeaWorld and Universal/Wet and Wild vicinities. The amenities will show first and you can get an idea about the free breakfast. The rates are not as low as Priceline's but you will be able to choose the things you need from the hotel, amenities, stars, location.

There are many hotels on International Drive that are close to these three parks. To avoid traffic stick to the hotels closer to SeaWorld than W&W.

You cannot beat the onsite Universal hotels for pools and the front of the line perk. However, they're not so "reasonably" priced. You can get a good deal on Hotwire or with the Entertainment card. Join us over at the Universal Resorts and Hotels Board for tips on how to get the best price.

Hope that helps!

Hi Robin,

I have already booked 3 nights at the HRH but want to sleep offsite for the rest of our stay.

I just booked Country Inn and Suites on Calypso Cay Way for August this year. I got a rate of 49.00 a nite through valuetrips.com. Seems like you book directly through the hotel with no penalties for cancellation should you have to.

Hotel has continental breakfast every morn, waterparklike pools, a minature golf course on premises. We've stayed at Country Inns before and they are sooooo clean.

Check out their website at www.countryinns.com and look up the on located at Calypso Cay Way.

This sounds great. The hotel website gives me a 89,- per night rate, but I will see what I can do there (mid-july).

Thank you very much
Werner

It's more expensive, but if travelling in July, I would highly recommend the new JW Marriott at Grande Lakes. You can get 3 nights for $159 per night and then you get a $100 resort credit. It will have a lazy river and is very close to Seaworld. The website is www.grandelakes.com. The code you need for this package is W22. You might also try some of the other Marriott properties to include the Renaissance and Grande Vista. Use discount code M11 when booking online at Marriott.
