Random race week musing—I was looking at my old medals and one of my favorites is the Disneyland Half from 2015 that celebrated both Disneyland’s 60th and the 10th anniversary of the race. Disney is the first one to celebrate the anniversary of races/challenges at Walt Disney World, particularly at Marathon Week. I realize Disneyland races have been interrupted by a long hiatus, but that doesn’t mean it’s not still the anniversary of when a race started (versus calling it the XXth annual race). Disney is not one to shy away from anniversary-izing just about anything. It’s too bad the race last year was prior to the start of the 70th and wasn’t celebrated as the 20th anniversary of the race and also the park’s 70th. Besides the runDisney hiatus, this also has to do with the races moving from Labor Day to Jan/Feb.

HM week is here! Like most of us, I cannot wait to get to warm weather. Did a 10 mile run in 26 degree weather yesterday morning. That was the coldest I have ever done a run. No thanks. I don't know how you people up north do it. Those upper 70's/low 80's afternoon forecasts in Anaheim are looking really nice.

I'm 205xx for Dumbo but not sure how that's going to shake out for corrals since they've split them on the bib in the past. Should be B for the half though, 2:03 POT.

I am bib 404xx for the 5k. Bib number 201xx for Dumbo.

Is anyone else having troubles opening the event guide?

I'm 207xx for Dumbo. Last year I was 224xx, split B/D for the 10k and half, so I'm expecting to at least have that split, again. 59:00 10k POT.

No problems with the event guide for me.

Meant to post this yesterday: lol I’m already here and apparently it’s not a RunDisney trip for me unless a ride goes down with me on it. The list so far? Indiana Jones, Incredicoaster, Test Track, and now It’s a Small World (they shut the music for off for anyone wondering). Not all consecutive trips. And most of the time this goes normally but still funny.

I went from only having ever walked off Autopia over a decade ago. To now having being evaced off a ride 4 times

Managed to avoid evac this time

I'm 315XX for the 10K and and 111XX for the half (I registered for them seperately ).
Looking at photos from the last couple races, it looks like my 10K bib should put me in corral D. I'm guessing I'll be in corral B for the half, since that's where my POT put me in the last Disneyland race.
I guess I'll find out on Friday when I pick up my bibs!
Also, I'm local, and the weather is going to be amazing all week!

I still don't know if my flight tomorrow will be cancelled and I'm already seeing that we're possibly getting *another* storm next weekend that might cause issues. Not at the point where I’m extending my hotel stay just yet but I’m thinking about it.
