My son also gave us his opinion of each vehicle. It was quite comical (and informative) to see a 2.5 year old have pretty good comments about each one!

Glad you found a vehicle you love, and hope it works out well for you. Do What kind of a warranty do you get with it? Normally I'd not ask, but given the tranny problems with lots and LOTS of older Honda vehicles (not necessarily '07s, but especially with the V6 in older models) it is something I'd be concerned with.

Word of warning, if they haven't already, they'll strongly suggest you do the water pump and timing belt at the same time - to the tune of about $1000-$1200. I had it done because I reasoned that if the water pump goes - and it eventually will - it'll cost a lot more to have it done by itself than with the timing belt (had them look up the book/flat rate hours for each job separately). JMHO, of course - and I saved up for it and pushed it to about 115K before having it done so I would have the extra cash without nibbling into our savings.
Love my Ody with her snowshoes - handles quite well in the snow and slush, although with the original tires...not so much. BTW, if you are buying a new vehicle and intend on doing snows, IMO it's better to just buy a set of steel rims and mount the snowshoes on them from the get-go. Cheaper in the long run (as long as you intend to keep the vehicle for more than 3 or 4 year), and makes for longer life for the tires, rather than mounting, balancing and unmounting each year.

Because of this I took out the extened HONDA Warranty! It was 2000 more but it covers bumper to bumper till 100,000 miles Honda parts and service with no detectable! And 5 years on paint/ rust! I plan on having this car for at least 10 years so I wanted to have all my bases covered!Ahh...the heated seats.

I just asked dh about this and apparently we are getting both these done at the same time too. However, I guess we have a coupon and before tax it will be $550. Last spring the darn thing broke down in traffic with my dh in NYC while the kids and I were checking into our hotel. It just died.
Somehow he got it going enough for the valet to park it for the weekend while we sat watched 'Wicked' and toured the city. We didn't know what to do and worried the whole weekend. We finally decided to drive my MIL home and keeping driving the 8 more hours to our house. I forget what was wrong, but we got home and got it into the shop the next am. 2k. We were seriously bummed and at that time they told us about the timing belt (and apparently the water pump). We'd like to get another 100k but if we keep having to pour dough in, at one point it won't be the secure vehicle we need with 3 kids traveling in the artic and all over the eastern seaboard. Funniest thing is seeing someone messing with a 4WD vehicle and actually sliding off the road doing so.
Tee hee, yep. Honestly, I commute an hour each way 3x a week and every snow, sleet or flurry, it's all those macho 4wders. We had a gmc blazer years ago and it was fine. We feel the Honda is just as good unless there is a foot of snow.

Wow - I just checked my receipt and it was $1K, but it was timing belt, water pump, all belts (something was occasionally squealing which was driving me nuts), oil change, state inspection, tune-up (plugs, etc.), securing a loose heat shield that was rattling (clamp was broken/missing), changing winter tires over, checking brakes, etc. So I guess it was significantly less than I remembered for the actual water pump and timing belt replacement.
At least the comp'd the rental car.

I did the same thing and paid about half of what my local dealer wanted - same HondaCare warranty, and had no problem getting work done at my local dealership with it. I actually brought in the price and offered to buy it through my dealership for the same amount - they said no, so I got it at the other place (in NJ maybe?).
