Which headliners most susceptible to hurricane damage?

I'm just curious which headliner attractions ya'll think are weakest in terms of withstanding the high winds being predicted for Orlando.

Are the outdoor ride tracks more stable than let's say an indoor theatre or building like space mountain?

Along the same lines, I was wondering if openings on the indoor/outdoor rides like Splash mountain and 7DMT can be closed. I assume there are doors of some sort that can close up the mountains, but I've never noticed anything while on the rides.

TT is the most "temperamental" of any headliner, so TT damage wouldn't surprise me.

I would think full indoor attractions like RnR and SM would be less likely to be damaged in a hurricane vs the inside/outside ones.

I wonder if they will take down the Halloween decorations.. since they are not permanent fixtures, they may not be secure enough to withstand the storm.

Not exactly a headliner, but I'm guessing that Astro Orbiter could face some damage.

The issue is not really going to be damage to the attractions but cleaning them up. Lots of debris on tracks, queues and loading platforms.

The hurricane is expected to be a category 2 when it goes through Orlando. So I would guess some minor damage, but nothing major.

really? i heard cat 4..

i'm wondering about all the construction structures..

like in magic kingdom on main street - the construction false front...no way is that going to stand up to a hurricane....

and all over WDW, there is tons of construction going on (road/bridge work etc)..
that stuffs going to fly all over the place..

I have pictures from the day before Matthew last year and the Halloween Mickey wreaths were still up as the park was closing.

Disney knows Florida gets hurricanes, though. I imagine the gondolas will be constructed to withstand pretty amazing forces.

I'd be so intrigued to see how they do that! There must be some pretty amazing engineering at play.

Might I ask where? I'm asking because the forecast data I've seen predicts it to be a Cat 1/2 barely when it's in this region. I'm watching obsessively because I'm riding it out in Davenport and I've never once seen a forecast for this area breach Cat 2 but I've got concerned relatives telling me I'm about to get Maleficent-slapped by a Cat 5 storm and I don't understand why they think that.

Forgot to attach the quote. I disagree that this thread is morbid. I understand the seriousness of the situation. But also don't think that means this subject is taboo or insensitive to discuss.

Oh, I agree with your disagreement there, it's not morbid and I'm sure Disney has a team of people with the responsibility of asking the same questions and being prepared for whatever the answer is.

My guess is going to be Test Track, it's one of the few headliners with an outdoor element that isn't a roller coaster. Roller coasters are actually incredibly robust structures, the loading they undergo during normal operations is probably more severe than hurricane winds. They signage on the TT and the large flat surface area of the roadway makes it a bit more risky but still not too bad. However as pointed out above, it's already a bit finicky and sensitive to weather.

I'm going to assume that Characters in Flight is going to have to be deflated. Not amount of tethers can hold it down and it just one big target.
