I've heard about plenty of stories regarding mold in the rooms of the Swan. I stayed at the SWan last winter and experienced the mold. I haven't had the chance of staying at the dolphin yet.

Is the mold problem about the same? Or are the rooms better?

On this forum, I've heard mold at both. But about 95% of them were from the Swan. They should fix this problem, gut the rooms, and start over.

We had problems this summer with mold at the Swan. Two friends of mine just stayed at the Dolphin and had no problems with mold.

last Thanksgiving at the Swan. They made it right - switched us twice until we found a room we were happy with. We're trying the Dolphin soon (I hope...I may have to cancel my trip) and I'm hoping there won't be a repeat performance.

We had problems this past August with mold at the Swan. I am returning to the Swan for a convention in March so I hope the mold problem is corrected by then!

Mold, yuck :(

Someone should contact Starwood - their owner - and complain.
You may even get Starwood points or cash back for your inconvience.

We've stayed at the Swan once and the Dolphin 4 times and have never seen or smelled any kind of mold. :confused3

Last February, we stayed at the Dolphin and, though we were moved twice, none of the three rooms had any visible mold issues. Now, smoke is another story, our first two (designated non-smoking) rooms smelled horribly of stale cigarettes.

:guilty: This is the first I've heard about the "mold" issue with the Swan and Dolphin. We are staying at the Swan for 3 nights nights after Thanksgiving! We've never stayed at the Swan or Dolphin, now I'm starting to doubt my decision. Should we change to a moderate? We got a great teachers rate ($149), but mold, yuck, I don't know if it's worth it! :confused3

We have stayed at the Swan and Dolphin several times and NEVER encountered mold!
