How could she do that? How did she GET to the parking space if the car was on the other side of the mall?

Can we just go there for a minuet? This is OT but similar to point of this comment.

People who use their body to hold a parking space. OMG, it burns me! Hasn't happened in Disney, but over Christmas time this lady, stood in a parking spot for what seemed like 20 mins waiting for her family/friend/whatever to come FORM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MALL and park. She flatly refused to move, my DH tried pulling in and she turned around, I wanted to go off. We found another spot and just watched as people kept trying to park and she would shake her head and turn around. Mind you, this was the last few days before Christmas, the mall was packed and there were zero parking spots. Anywho... sorry about the rant! But this is what popped into my head when I read this comment :confused3

Always enter a parking spot at top speed. If they think you can't brake in time, they usually move.

:rotfl::rotfl: The same thing happened to me, too. Of course, I just pulled into the spot anyways...as far as I could. At that point it was like a game of chicken...who was going to give in first.

LoL i would have paid money to see this!!!! :rotfl:

No problem.

Have housekeeping remove your table and chairs.

Bring a twin aerobed and a full aerobed.

Put two adults in each of the room's beds.

Put the full aerobed where the table was and have the three kids sleep crosswise.

Put the twin aerobed in the closet area, or between the window and the bed, for the fifth adult.

Create a bathroom schedule spreadsheet AT HOME, and bring it with you and tape it to the mirror.

LMAO!! I see you have ventured down this road before!

It's a huge mall. They must have been shopping for a while, she had tons of bags.

i read a thread once a while back about a family taking money out of their 401k to pay for disney. people were losing it!!! :lmao:

I remember that one or a similar one. The family took money out of their 401K for a trip of a lifetime and didn't plan anything ahead. They then called their Disboards member sister's answering machince and left a nasty message  Somehow it was her fault because she loves WDW :confused3 That thread was insane!!! (funny at times too ;) )

You guys are hilarious! This is hands down the best time I have had on the DIS. I LOVE IT!

We'll have a jolly good time! Collecting towels from all the resorts as we pool hop, and use them in our room. Or better yet, we could hang them on the railings, or use them to "snap" people as they walk by our room.

After all, we'll be sitting out front in our lawn chairs watching the people walk by.

how about it doesn't matter if pins are fakes, because disney has to take them? :rotfl:Sorry. I had to laugh. You were the last poster on both of my current subscribed threads, and I about went down someone's throat on the other!

I voted "other" for refillable mugs...and those that use cups from prior years. popcorn::

I voted other - I remember a couple of threads about people going to WDW after being laid off...those got ugly!

I voted other for EVCs on buses and just in general. It always seems like those threads go from being about EVCs to talking about fat people vs disabled people vs people just faking it.

I don't really get hot under the collar over any of these because there really is no point trying to argue over the internet, but boy do they make me laugh and shock me at how mean spirited some people really are.

I am so curious... but wouldn't dare post a ? about this... (i don't think I have been around long enough to have read a lot of threads about it)

But WHY do flames fly around threads involving taking kids out of school for trips?? Is it because of educational values, or because they want less kids at disney certain times of the year? I never really understood this. :confused3

I think it has to do with the personal decision of taking a child out for a whole week and missing out on a week of school and all the work that goes with it, then having to make it up.
Honestly, DD isn't in school yet, she will be in Sept. But I think I would take my child out for a week, Disney is educational.
I wouldn't if my child was struggling or had some sort of testing.
But I would NEVER (personally) flame anyone for taking their child out of school to go to Disney, that's their own personal decision to make, not mine.
I just finished student teaching with a kindergarten, many of the kiddos took a week to go to Disney in the few short months I was there (maybe 4 out of 15 kids). The teacher gave them a packet of work to do. They also had a journal for everyday of their trip, they had to write 1 sentence about their trip and a drawing. I was talking to one of the mom's and she said her son did it on the flight home.
.....I would have just told the kids "have fun!" and not given them any work lol, but that's just me.

Sorry. I will call DVC member services today and canel my 2 bedroom at Kidani for a standard view at POP. We are only a party of 8 - 5 adults, 3 children. How many people can you fit in 2 doubles?

As a Mexican, I can safely say that you could probably fit 57 people in there.
