In many of the longhouses at the Poly, the second floor contains a false balcony. That is, there is a sliding glass door that opens, but no balcony, just the railing. All third floors at the Poly have balconies and all first floors have patios.
I prefer the third floor because it offers much more privacy an a guaranteed balcony. One charming thing about the first floor, however, is that ducks will often visit the patios in the morning, looking for handouts.
I agree with Neverland. Tokelau has balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
So are the second floor balconies real or false?
And yes, the second floor had real balconies. I don't think you need to worry with any room in Tokelau.
Very nice building near the quiet pool, but away from the louder volcano pool. Still only a short walk from both pools, Cap'n Cooks and the GCH.Hmmm...so are two requests too many?
In my opinion asking for building is the easiest for Disney to grant. Adding balcony probably won't cut down the odds too bad because most of the rooms have one. I guess I just want to warn people that despite what you may read here you can't EXPECT anything. Don't be too disappointed if you don't get a request. Don't get mad and ask to see a supervisor if you don't get a request. Enjoy the stay and if you do get what you want consider it a bonus.
