My first trip starts May 21st. We have 5 park days 2 at MK and 1 each of the other parks. We are a family of 6 with children ages 15, 12, 9, and 3. I am a morning person so are my 2 little ones. We are planning on being there at rope drop each day. I don't think the little ones and myself will make it to the nighttime shows everyday. My goal is 2 nights for them to see the shows. I don't want to go back to the hotel and take naps because of the time that will be lost traveling back and fourth. I would love to see Happily EverAfter as one of those nights. I'm thinking its going to be packed since its new. We are also short my husband is 5'2 and I'm 5'1. I would prefer to ride rides than sit and wait for a good spot. The dessert party isn't in my budget. We will probably go back in 2 years or sooner. What 2 nighttime shows should I make a priority to see with the little ones? My husband and bigger kids will probably stay until close each night.

Yes HEA and Illuminations. HEA will be hard to find a good space if you don't want to get there early. You might want to research it to see what will work for you. You will want to be facing the castle.

Illuminations is different because of many spots to see it.

Happily ever after. I haven't seen it yet in person and I'm not watching videos of it so I don't spoil it until I see it. But I'd imagine that would be priority.

My list: HEA, Star Wars, Fantasmic, Illuminations

Fantasmic would be good for you guys since you're on the shorter side and that's the only show where everyone is sitting.

For the littles they would probably like the characters too more than Illuminations. You can also FP it so you don't have to get there super early.

HEA over and over. If your a star wars fan, that one as well. The rest I don't like that much and don't get the attraction many have to it. With that said, I've seen them to have this opinion so my recommendation for anything at disney, experience it before you decide someones suggestion to not do it is considered. I've had stuff I was told wouldn't be worth my time and turned out it's my favorite things.

I don't miss Illuminations. Sitting there, right on the water with the fireworks reflecting, that is magic in and of itself.

I also love Fantasmic!

I've not seen HEA in person yet, but the live feed looked spectacular. You will have plenty of viewing options, regardless of height for both Fantasmic and Illuminations.
