Which filtered bottle to help with FL H2O taste?

DH and I are looking into buying some of the Brita flitered water bottles (or something similiar). Do the bottles really kill the taste of that horrible Florida water? That stuff tastes like what I picture sewage to taste like. (Okay so that may be a little dramatic, but that water is bad). Any recommendations on brands or types or your experiences would be great!

we use bobbles.
they work for us
haven't tried any other types, so can't comment on those.

Brita users here, but we have the older style. No issues at all for taste or smell. What we also do is bring along a second "plain" water bottle to add Kool-Aid once the water is filtered.

We've used Bobbles for years and they do work, but they are better if the filter is brand new. Has saved us tons of money!

Brita here. Work GREAT!!! Sounds like either would work fine. Just see which you get the better deal on.

If you have a car, consider a trip to WalMart or Target. We buy 2 cases of water every trip, and generally pay less than $4/case. Yes, you have to carry more water at the beginning of each day, but very inexpensive option and you know what the water is going to taste like.

We used the camelbak ones with the filter in the straw and was good. Also you can ask any resturant for a cup of ice and and use the fountains around the park to fill them up. They were a little expensive but camelbak bottle are a little more acident prone friendly

We have wonderful water here in our area in southern PA -- literally from mountain springs. When we moved to FL, I knew from previous visits that there's no way we'd be drinking the water piped into our house. One of the first things we bought was a water softener. Many of our neighbors had whole house filtering systems. We didn't go quite that far.
However, I bought and drank bottled water or from a Brita pitcher nearly exclusively. I did cook with the water from the tap.
It was more expensive to buy bottled water (Dasani) at the parks, but I did. When we didn't buy a soft drink, etc. with a meal, I had a small bottle of water with me all the time.
Florida water tastes pretty yucky to me even now........

There are so many choices out there. Our water here in KY tastes okay,so I don't have a great way to test for taste. I think I will keep an eye out and get what has free shipping and a good deal. I'm not even real sure we won't do bagless so if we decide to do that we will be using them in the rooms. Thanks for all the great responses. It's good to know there are other "water snobs" like me. LOL

I had a camelback that had a filter in the straw. Worked awesomely until I left it somewhere in world showcase. =( I like camelbacks b/c they are bpa free too.

One thing to remember is that you can get free cups of ice water at any CS restaurant. (And the CS water tastes just fine - it's not the icky tap water.)

No need to lug around lots of bottled water in a backpack. I just bring a refillable water bottle, and the fill it up with CS ice water.

I bought a kids brita bottle for my upcoming trip...it's small and I plan to use it to fill my insulated bottle. Hopefully it will work well...it was only $5 on amazon!

Only the water in the MK needs help to taste better. The other parks taste like normal water. So it might be cheaper to just buy a case of water for just that park. Also the Starbucks in the MK has good water that tastes normal so it is worth a stop by there when you are coming and going.
