Going all-out for our December cruise and trying to decide which Cabana to book. I'm hoping to see which ones other people have preferred. (I'm only allowed 10 possible responses so I've had to group the cabanas in pairs).
Looking forward to your opinions. :)

I voted 5 or 6, but I'd really say 4 or 5 with 5 being my favorite. It beats out 4 just because the hammock is in the shade in the afternoon. :smooth:

We've stayed at the far end and found it to be a little inconvenient when one of the kids needed to use the restroom or when we wanted to go grab food or drinks so we stayed in #8 last time and liked it a lot. It was closer to the activity but still far enough removed to be quiet. The ones on the end also have less shade so if that is important to you, I'd stay away from the few highest numbered cabanas on the end.

We just had #2 last Sunday and I liked it. I didn't like how close it was to the public beach area, but unless I was looking over there while on the beach, it didn't really phase me. I liked that it was super close to the restroom, and Cookies.

Thanks for your tips. DDs are 15 and 12 so will this make a difference on distance to the washrooms? :scratchin

It sounds like, from another cabana thread on here, that new restrooms have been added towards the end so hopefully you shouldn't have too long of a walk no matter which cabana you stay in. When we had #20, which was second from the end, my then 6 year old and 11 year old walked back and forth every time they wanted food, or needed to use the restroom or pick something up from the shops. I can't remember exactly but I would estimate my 6 year old walked there and back at least 5 or 6 times and she was tired that day. It wasn't ideal but she could handle it, so your older kids should be fine. Now, the way it's supposed to work is you should be able to call a CM to come pick you up and give you a ride to go get food or go to the shops or restrooms but the day we were there we couldn't find any when we needed one and after waiting for half an hour after pushing the call button we just decided to walk. When all is said and done, I'd still book a high numbered cabana in a heartbeat because it makes a big difference for our family. And really, unless you have mobility issues, it's not that far. The cabanas are maybe around 10 - 20 steps apart, some closer than others, and there are only 21 of them on the family beach. That's a very, very rough estimate but gives you a very general idea of the walking distance between #1 and #21.

Thank you. That info is helpful.
Now I thought I had read somewhere that the beach is slightly different around the higher numbered cabanas.

I've read that it's a bit more exposed, and rocky.
This picture was taken shortly after the "new" cabanas were opened, you can see (to the right) there is more foliage/greenery then the newer ones. I believe they've planted some greenery around the newer ones, but it's going to take some time for it to grow in.

This pic is from last week, those ones on the end are definitely expose. This beach area (more like a lagoon area), is not rocky. But the water kind of grossed us out down there, so we didn't swim in it. It was like stagnant water. Really hot too!

We've had 4, 7 and 17. Seven was probably our favorite, although we loved them all. Seventeen was just fine. It was further away and on the lagoon, which was interesting. If there are new bathrooms that would make it better regarding the distance. The lagoon was fun. We saw a ton more conch and even starfish in the lagoon, which we'd never seen in the other section and we just walked over to the cove area to swim further out. Honestly, any cabana is better than none. ;)

That photo does a great job of showing Cabanas 12-21. Is there a similar photo out there showing Cabanas 1-10?
