HELP! I think I have my photo printer choices narrowed down to two Epsons...
1). The Stylus Photo RX620 which is an all-in-one and can print all sizes, copy old photos, negatives, etc. On sale at Epson website for $150 (was $300). Dye-base ink
2) The Epson PictureMate Deluxe View Edition. Only prints 4 x 6's; has DISNEY borders :tigger: and photo viewer. $199 anywhere I look. Pigmented ink.

I really only need a printer for 4 x 6's. The first seems fancier, does more but costs less. I don't know that I need all of that. My big question is about the ink...which is better...color-wise, lasting-wise, etc.

Can anyone make a suggestion or offer info? THANKS!

My lovely DW gave me the Epson PictureMate for Christmas. So far it has performed beautifully. Great pictures just like you get from the photo lab. I haven't gone crazy with it yet (only printed about 30 prints or so) but it still has about 80% of the total ink left. I'm very happy with it's performance so far.

The real expense with any printer is the paper and the ink. This one isn't terrible as it advertises that prints cost about 29 cents each. About normal for most processing labs.
