We're looking for suggestions for lunch for my DS who's turning 8. We will be in EPCOT on his actual birthday in mid August. Which TS places in EPCOT or Boardwalk areas make for good choices and know how to do up a birthday?

TIA

Biergarten is festive and fun. Garden Grill feeatures a character meal. If it were me though, I'd probably think eating in front of that epic aquarium at Coral Reef would be the absolute coolest thing!

At EPCOT my traveling kiddos are hot to trot to Via Napoli, Tokyo Dining and looking forward to eating @ one of the Moroccan restaurants this forthcoming trip. Decision still hasn't been made as to which one.

VN because it's pizza (Duhhhh, LOL)
TD makes my 12 y/o DGD "feel like an adult"
One of the kiddos (the 9 y/o) who is coming for our July trip has chosen Moroccan food as his eating choice (each of our 3 juvenile traveling companions get to choose one dinner during this July's trip).

To date, we've never had a special occasion to celebrate beyond being there so no help on that end from me.

Beaches and cream, They have the Kitchen Sink! It's a 5 minute walk form the international gateway. Also San Angel in Mexico. Great view and atmosphere and after dinner the Grand Fiesta Tour boat ride.

Another vote for Via Napoli. It's got a lively atmosphere and fantastic pizza. After that, it's an easy walk to the Beach Club for dessert at Beaches & Cream.

Beaches & Cream, Teppan Edo, Via Napoli, or Garden Grill if you think he might enjoy the characters.

Garden Grill if he likes characters.

Coral Reef if he likes aquariums.

Beaches and Cream if he'll be wowed with the kitchen sink!

Another vote for Beaches & Cream. For my daughters 12th birthday I took her there and ordered the kitchen sink. Totally to much food but it was fun and I got some incredible pictures of her sitting there alone as if she had to eat the whole thing,

I think Beaches & Cream is overpriced for what you get.

I can't say I know that Beaches & Cream gives monetary value and I've never eaten there but I remember one of it's predecessors growing up in the Bronx that offered a kitchen sink sundae- Jahn's Ice Cream Parlor. Going there was always the highlight of any childish celebration and made you the envy of all your friends:).

of all the places to complain about Disney prices. It's a couple bucks more than Cosmic Ray's and a much better experience.

Edy's ice cream though, for real? IMO, the kid can probably eat better pizza and better ice cream at home, while Epcot affords unique experiences he's likely to always remember.

My daughter has loved Garden Grill since we first visited when she was 6. She is now 11 and insisted on a GG reservation for our upcoming trip in April. :O)

At that age, Garden Grill if he wants characters.
Tepan Edo is good food and fun to watch cook, if you don't have sometihing similar at home.
Via Napoli is fun and good pizza, probabaly the best you will get at WDW.
While the food is inconsistant, the view inside Coral Reef is amazing. Our kids loved it when they were younger.
Beaches and Cream at least for Ice Cream later.

Have to agree here --- of all of our ADRs , it's just about always the least expensive for the amount of food we get - we always leave satisfied and without paying a lot ( by Disney standards)

My son has requested Biergarten as his must do meal at Epcot every trip since he was 8.

Our family favorite is Garden Grill! Good food family style so relaxing, characters, and nice view of the Land ride!
