Let me just start by saying my husband and I are not huge Epcot people. We now have young kids and are visiting there more often. My parents are coming on our next trip and really dislike Epcot. I think as a child we just didnt do it right. My husband and I tried Coral Reef and it was less than fair. Which restaurant would you do? Tutto Italia or Le Cellier or Mexico? These are the three I am debating for dinner although my parents will be paying and they are really turned off by overpriced mediocre food. Will we be disappointed at Italy or Mexico? or would the pricy food at Le Cellier be too much? WWYD?

I'm pretty sure all of them are the same price range.

I have had good meals at all of them.

I would review the menus and see what appeals to you most.

Disney food is overpriced, period. Quality does not equal price for most of the restaurants including the restaurants you mentioned. I'd keep that in mind, and not go in expecting greatness. I find the lower my expectation, the greater I'm pleasantly surprised.

Our worst meal in all of Disney was Mexico, so I would avoid that for sure. We love Le Cellier and I think a very underrated place is Biergarten in Germany. Not only did we like the food, but it is a lot of fun (if you are Oktoberfest folk).

My #1 choice is not on your list - Chefs de France. :)

Out of your three, I'd pick Le Cellier.

Mexico was okay, and I find the Italian restaurant to be very expensive for what it is.

Of the one's on your list:

1. Le Cellier
2. Tutto

Not on your list but loved Chefs de France.

I also agree with Chefs de France, it was a very pleasant surprise.

On your list, in the order we'd do it:
1. Tutto Italia
2. Le Cellier
3. San Angel (we really enjoyed it when we were there. Food was fantastic)

There are only 3 places we will have dinner at Epcot, Tutto is first, Beirgarten second and Le Cellier third

I'd go with Chefs de France, Tutto Italia, or Le Cellier...though I have to agree with the PP who said that the Biergarten is very underrated. Actually, its one of our favorite restaurants in all of WDW and we hit it every trip.
I also have to agree with you that maybe you haven't done Epcot right. Its our favorite park and we end up here several times on every trip. As far as WS goes, you really need to take your time and enjoy all that every country has to offer. Check out Innoventions in Future World(always hands stuff there to do) and just look in every nook and cranny you can. Its an awesome place to spend time!

Normally I don't eat at sit-down restaurants in Epcot, but I've had wonderful meals in Japan and Morocco specifically. Out of the three you listed, Le Cellier, that consistently receives good ratings and feedback from people. Getting a reservation for Le Cellier can be tricky, but I have heard from many people it is worth it. Have fun!

Of your three choices we have only done Le Cellier--and absolutely LOVED it. Filet and cream cheese mashed potatoes, pretzel bread and cheese soup...I'm drooling just thinking about it. We will be trying Japan (Teppan Ado) this Thanksgiving. Hope it's great too.

As far as "not doing Epcot right", if you have small kids (up to 10 years old), be sure to do the Kids Spot. Each country has a place for kids to do a craft activity for them to take home. They get a stamp from each country and the CM will write their name in their native language. It's pretty cool!!! (Here's the teacher in me coming out---they are learning and having fun at the same time. :teacher: Who says learning can't be fun too?!?!) While the kids are "creating", visit with the CMs who are actually from each country. They are very friendly and it's interesting. Be sure to watch the street performers in each country--really entertaining. I'll bet after this trip, you'll be wondering why you disliked Epcot.

Just got back from another great vacation and we had a very good meal in Le Chefs.

Of the three I would go with Tutto.

Have you considered going to boardwalk, just outside of Epcot?

You have the options of Blue Zoo, Flying Fish and Kouzzina. Kouzzina is the best value IMO. Blue Zoo the best food.

Much like your parents, one of my biggest frustrations is paying good money for average food.

Le Celler is good, but on the equivalent of Bugaboo Creek (other say Outback, but it is slightly better then Outback), IMO. It was not as popular before the DDP.

I think Tutto is good for the dining plan, but I would not pay for it out of pocket.

San Angel Inn has a great atmosphere but the food is below average in my opinion. They have bagged chips. When I am paying $24 for an below average entree in a Mexican restaurant I do not expect chips and salsa that were made in a factory in New York City ;-)

I have not had a good meal in the Coral Reef for 5 years. (I stopped going 2 years ago) It has become more about the "show" then the food.

As others have mentioned Morocco is good if you like that type of food, and I do.
They also have the belly dancer which is entertaining.

I also highly recommend Biergarten. I really like German food and we do not get it in Boston. I have been to Munich, Berlin and Salzburg and and the food is what you would expect from a tourist restaurant in these cities. (That is not a negative, just want to be up front with you.) Nothing is bad and the show if entertaining.

Unfortunately at the end of the day you will get 100 people with different opinions, some will even like San Angel Inn (I know it is hard to believe).

At then end you will need to make your best guess and hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised.

Here's a suggestion for you... Have you considered Rose & Crown (UK) ? The food is great, and even if some of you find the food only mediocre, if you schedule your meal about a half hour before Illuminations, the breathtaking show is sure to please everyone. And you may feel you're getting more of "your money's worth". The view of Illuminations is great from a window seat in the upstairs restuarant Tokyo Dining. We're sushi lovers, though.

Biergarten is a must do for us. Le Cellier is on our must try list but it is always booked.

We tried Mexico last year and it was really bad. It started off with Tostito chips and jarred salsa NASTY!! If I go to a nice Maxican restaurant I expect good chips and fresh salsa.

I like Le Cellier. Go there for lunch, it's basically the same menu as dinner but less expensive. Marrakesh in Morocco is great as well.

My parents are obsessed with San Angel Inn, but I'm pretty picky with my Mexican food and I'm not a fan. (The atmosphere is amazing, though!)

If your little ones are princess fans, I'm sure they'd enjoy Akershus Royal Banquet Hall! I've read that in addition to being less expensive than Cinderella's Royal Table at MK, it also has more princesses present.
