Which Epcot Restaurant has the best viewing area for Illuminations?

We are deciding between La Hacienda (if we can get a table) or Rose & Crown? Any others that have a good view? Between these two, which would you say has the better view, or be the better option? DBF likes the idea of La Hacienda on the water, but I know tables are hard to come by even with a ressie at 7:15pm...

I can tell you where we always watch Illuminations from and believe it to be one of the better locations. It's the patio to the left of Rose & Crown.

There is a patio that is NOT attached to the restaurant or pub that is open seating. There are say 10-12 tables there and the view is one of the best, actually our favourite to view the show. The tables are cemented to the patio so they do not move. However there is probably 24-30 seats there as well.

So I vote for Rose & Crown. When you dine there ... They have a roped off area you can get up and leave your table if you did not receive a patio table that you can view the show.

Rose and Crown is the only restaurant with an actual designated IllumiNations viewing area (they do also have tables with a view). The other restaurants (i.e. LH and SRT) have limited tables with views of the World Showcase Lagoon, but there is no guarantee you'll actually get a table with a view. If you have to watch from a restaurant, go with R&C, but I would opt to get an earlier ADR (6:30 or so) and then finding a spot after you eat.

And everyone asks for the limited tables with a view of Illuminations at LH and SRT, and they can't let everyone wait for them.
