Which E-book reader is best?

So you think it's definately worth the $$?

I also have a $30 M-Edge Go cover in a nice brown leather and while it's serviceable....it's nondescript.

Putting my Kindle in it's Oberon cover makes it look and feel like a beautiful, leather bound edition of an important book. As I said earlier...it's like holding a piece of art.

I find it serviceable and beautiful and in my opinion, that makes it well worth the money spent.

After much research I finally asked "Santa" for the Sony Reader. I like the fact that I can get my fill of books from the library. tThat was the big deciding factor, if Kindle could do this then I would of went with it.
So far I love my reader touch.

I also like the fact with the Sony Touch that you can put Memory Sticks and SD cards in it. Listening to music on it while reading is nice.

Music can be downloaded to a Kindle as well and you have an infinite amount of storage as Amazon will store all books purchased through them.

You are allowed to "re-download" your purchased books at any time.

Amazon calls this your "virtual bookshelf".

I want you all to know that I'm not selling Kindles or Oberon Design covers (which are also available for the Sony reader). I'm just sharing what I like.

I think ereaders are awesome and my first ereader was the Sony (Pr-500??).

I just think there is a great deal of information and mis-information out there and since ereaders are not cheap, that you should do your research and know exactly what you are buying and what your device will do.

See what your reader will and wont do. Comparison shop each device's book stores and compare prices and availability. Read the facts and not the advertising blurbs and hearsay.

I love the fact that this offers people a more convenient way to read.

Thanks Kevin for the info.

I love the E-Reader I received for Christmas but wouldn't minded if I had gotten a Kindle either. My wife bought it at Best Buy and we had about a hundred bucks in Reward Zone coupons to use so that was a big swaying point. Either one of the e-books are great. I took it to work today and everyone was drooling over it. Can't wait til the summer when I can lay in my hammock and read away.

The Hokusai Wave in navy.

I love my Oberon.

It's a piece of art and the craftsmanship is incredible.

I just placed my order for a Hokusai Wave in Sky Blue - the review I read indicated Navy was a little more black and I wanted a little more color. Ideally I'd get this in the purple, but it seems not to be an option.

Thanks for the info on this Kevin. Your raves on the podcasts brought these to my attention and when I decided to take the plunge on a Kindle I had no doubt what I wanted to protect it. I also credited the DIS Unplugged podcast for how I found them when I had to create my account. I will now wait (im)patiently for my cover to arrive.

My Navy cover is definitely a dark navy. There are shadows in the design that could be black. I sometimes cant tell the difference between a dark navy and black.

Had it been an option, I would have purchased this design in black.

I imagine the Sky Blue will be beautiful. I hope you love it as much as I love mine.

Some cool new E-readers showing at CES this year, including a few color ones. Lots of tablets (or slates as that seems to be the new word... apparently tablets use a stylus and slates are touchscreen like the iphone)...

Man I miss CES... When it was in Chicago and still open to the public... you know the CONSUMERS in Consumer Electronics...

Some cool stuff like 3D TVs coming out...

I think you will both absolutely love your new covers.

I'd love to hear what you think once you get them.

I will definitely let you know! Do you also have a 'skin' on it, such as one
from decalgirl.com? Just curious....don't know if they are really necessary, but they come in such cool designs.
