My boyfriend and I are trying to fit in a vacation from 09-27-14 to 10-04-14.
I'm love animals and would like Animal Kingdom but I believe the standard and value would be full now and don't have enough money for a savannah.
Our other options are Boardwalk, or Old Key West.
Neither of us drink and would like to spend some time by a pool. We are both in our late 20's.

Given your age,you would probably love the vibrancy of the Epcot/Boardwalk area!

Great to walk around/people watch.. ESPN is there too!:thumbsup2

Good luck with your decisions! Enjoy!:cool1:

You probably have more luck with an AKV-kidani standard studio than BWV at this point.

BWV definitely has more night life, but resort-wise, I think AKV has more interest, out of the norm stuff.

DVC resorts book up quickly for late September into early November because of the Food & Wine festival. Even the non-Epcot resorts tend to book up for most weekends (check in Thu, check out Sun) during F&W. Since you mention cost is a factor, I'm guessing you are hoping for a studio and that further reduces your chances since studios book up more quickly than other rooms.

The 7-month window for your dates opened several months ago so at this point I would be surprised if anything other than SSR is still available. There might be some midweek nights left at AKV but probably not an entire week. There will be even less (and maybe nothing) left at BWV by this point. If you can afford a 1BR, that will improve your chances. I doubt you will get more than a night or two at in a Pool & Garden 1BR at BWV but you might be able to get a full week in a Standard View 1BR at Jambo or Kidani.

Animal Kingdom is a great resort, and standard view rooms are often available at short notice.

The biggest problem you may have is that you are planning on going during the second full week of F&W at Epcot. F&W books up at ALL of the DVC resorts far in advance. You may have difficulty finding a room for the full time at this late date. In fact, there are essentially no studios available for that first weekend of Oct.

Are you thinking of renting points or booking through CRO? If you are talking about using CRO for your stay, perhaps there would be some availability.
