I am looking to rent points for an upcoming trip in Feb 2015 and we had our heart set on the Port Orleans, sadly we learned thatcot would likely be more expensive since it isn't a DVC property. That being said I was looking for recommendations on which DVC resort to stay at. Please help. Thank you.

I loved the Boardwalk! Nightlife if you want it. Walking distance to EPOCT or Hollywood Studios, beautiful site, and the bakery. Draw back is the lack of restaurants you can enter from the inside. To get to any restaurants you have to go outside.

If you want to stay at POR, why not drop the idea to rent points, and just pay for POR?

Can you give us a few more details. Like do you have kids? Are they young? Which parks are you favorites and do you visit often? Do you like a quiet resort? Do you plan on using Disney transportation? Etc

It would just be 2 adults for this trip. As far as our favorite parks we don't know, I have only been once and he has never been to WDW but we have AP for Disneyland. We love the magic of Disney. He likes the style of the Port Orleans but we were wanting to watch what we spend so if we can get a cheaper rate by renting points we are all for it.

What would you recommend?

Boardwalk is one of our favorites and you can walk to Epcot and HS so that is nice. They have a bunch of sit down restaurants which have had walk up availability but the resort can get busy.

We like Saratoga Springs if we want a more relaxing quiet resort. Draw back is you have to take buses everywhere but it isn't all that bad.
