which DVC resort has the most well done theming?

just curious about opinions on theming.

i've always felt that one of the things that really sets Disney's parks and resorts apart from other theme parks or even general hotels is their excellent and creative theming.
(although it seems Universal Orlando & Loews has come close to outdoing Disney w/ their beautifully themed Portofino Bay Hotel + Royal Pacific Hotel.)

anyway, please vote and comment on which DVC resort you feel Disney did the best job theming.

The theming of VWL is one of the things that attracted us most when deciding where to buy. Although I can't say that I've seen much beyond pictures of the other DVC resorts, the way VWL is set up it really feels like you are in the Pacific Northwest and when you're there, it's very peaceful and serene.

The other ones didn't have as much appeal to me or my wife because we're about an hour or so away from Cape May (upon which BCV is themed) and less to the various boardwalk's in NJ such as Atlantic City, various other beaches, etc. (the boardwalk theming of BWV). We wanted something that felt as far away from NJ as possible. It's probably much the same way that someone from Wyoming might enjoy VWL less than something "different". Certainly not saying VWL is better, just that VWL is better for us.

I think that the theming at VWL is exceptional. You truly feel as if you've left FL and entered the Northwoods.

I found OKW and BCV to be too similar in color schemes. I swear that our BCV room used the same accent fabric that I've seen in our OKW rooms.

Both resorts are lovely, but I was surprised that BCV wasn't a bit more distinctive.

I voted for OKW. When I am there, I really feel like I am in Florida!!!!

I think VWL will be the clear winner. Even those who do not care for VWL, will likely admit that the theming is second to none.

VWL got my vote. But if you asked which resort, DVC and other, my vote would be AKL!! WL was our favorite until AKL was built.

it's got to be the Wilderness Lodge. That's also the only DVC resort I haven't stayed at yet (except for the two offsite resorts, but I'll probably never stay at either of those).

I voted for VWL, because I think it's closest to being a realistic representation of what it tries to copy, but I could easily have voted for HH if I knew what the themeing there was meant to represent. That doesn't mean I think any of the other DVC resorts are badly designed, simply that they are more "charactures" of the theme they represent. JMHO. I've yet to visit a DVC resort that I didn't like

This was a tough choice. I think each resort is true to its theme. VB is unlike any other beach-side hotel at which I have ever stayed. It's got a terrific theme.

Each DVC resort has really well done theming.

It should be. Take away the artwork and accessories and OKW, BWV, BCV and even VB for that matter have similar feels to them.

When you walk in the lodge, you know you're in the lodge!

I LOVE OKW,but I can't understand how it got 22 votes for theming.I think some OKW owners just vote for OKW no matter what.
