Which Disneyland Paris Hotel?

I just booked tickets for my wife and I to go to Disneyland Paris for our anniversary in September. I have been trying to figure out which hotel to stay at. The reviews seem to be really mixed on all of the hotels there. Any advice from anyone who has been there?

I'd recommend the Disneyland Hotel, but it's the only one that I've stayed in. It was beautiful, and if you can afford it the location and service can't be beat! However, the peeps who hang out at the Disneyland Paris board probably have a better idea, and more experience than I.

First, I would suggest you review the stickies on the DLP forum here on DIS. I found lots of good advice there. Last June I stayed at two Disney hotels. The first was Newport Bay which was deteriorating and altogether disappointing. I also stayed at one of the value hotels - the Santa Fe - which was not as nice but less expensive. If you can afford it, the Disneyland Hotel there would be my choice. It was booked when I tried to reserve. I think the New York is also supposed to be nice. If you want off-site, I also stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn nearby. It was quite nice. I moved around a lot because I reserved late and was back and forth to Paris in between DLP visits.

I heard some folks talking and the Paris Hilton was being discussed.

They said looks were pretty good, but on closer examination "untrustworthy" and "sleasy" were more accurate adjectives.

Oh, wait...

I've moved this thread over to the Disneyland Paris forum here on the DIS.

Thanks!

hi there, what a lovely place to go for your anniversary! of course it depends what kind of budget you're on, but on some dates in september you get 3 nights for the price of 2 - so it also depends how long you'd like to go for! generally, the disneyland hotel comes out top for those that have been, but if you were on a tighter budget but still want a lovely hotel, i personally recommend the sequoia lodge - right by the lake, surrounded by gorgeous foliage, and a really nice feel - plus an amazing hotel bar. walking through the disneyland hotel, i found it a little bit dated - but then i have not stayed there, so hopefully some disers who have can give advice :)

It all depends on your budget. I love the Hotel New York and would recommend that but then again I have never stayed in the Disneyland Hotel.

Hi, it's a great place to go to for your anniversary.
I like the Disneyland hotel the most, only a few steps to the park.
We have stayed in the Castle Club and that was super! Were there last week and it wasn't dated in my opinion. We had a wonderful stay (again).
The New York Hotel is also very good. The rooms are very nice and the bar is lovely.

Have also stayed at the Disneyland hotel - great for an anniversary, and right beside the entry to the parks, no long walks, fantastic service, can recommend it if you have the budget!!

We've never stayed in the Disneyland Hotel so can't really comment on that one... Stayed at Sequoia Lodge, Newport Bay and Cheyenne and must admit SL is our favourite. Booked for April and we'll be staying at SL again!

as a middly priced hotel, i would definitely recommend sequoia lodge, and if u can get a lake view room then even better!
its within good walking distance of the park, a great theme to the hotel and very welcoming!

I have stayed in the Hotel New York and also will return there in 08, its the next Hotel category down from the Disneyland hotel, and its in a good location.

You can walk to it in less than 5 mins through Downtown Disney, a nice walk, and the hotel rooms are very nice.

It has an indoor pool with extension outside, the pool is very nice but can be a little cool next to the adjoining outside pool through a window/door.

The restaurants are nice and a good breakfast was included, we could pop to the parks and back with ease at any time. Staff very good.
