Which Disney Stores are closing?

I checked the Philly Premier Outlets. One was supposed to open this spring, but it didn't appear on the shops list last weekend. I'm going to go there on Saturday to shop anyways, so I'll need to check it out.

I've been wanting to go here. Report back if you get some good deals please. it's a little far for me, but I'm interested

Both of our stores in the Buffalo area are listed to close:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Our store at CherryVale Mall in Rockford IL is closing. They haven't announced when. :sad2:

Of course the one at Park City Lancaster is closing - Now that they opened the new "Outlet" store at Rockvale. As if I would drive all the way out there!

You should make the extra 15 minute drive. It's a bigger store than Park City's.

Does anyone on these boards from Ohio know which Disney stores are staying open in Ohio? I know my local one at Tri-County Mall is closing, but I was hoping the one in Dayton would at least stay open.

I thought only the BLVD Mall store was closing but I see the Galleria listed here as well. I went to the BLVD yesterday. Not very good deals. 10% off almost everything but all the 40% off racks were gone and the 2 for deals on t-shirts and mini stuffed animals isn't offered. Looks like kind of a scam. Maybe the sales will get better towards the end of the month.

Does anyone think Disney will close all these stores and wait a bit and then open new ones? Why would they buy them back and close them all?

I went in last week to buy DD and DS some Disney Dollars for next week's trip :wizard:, and the salesgirl had to check with her manager if they could sell them to me or if I'd have to go to a farther away one (located in a wealthier mall).

They did sell them to me, but now I see that my store is on the liquidation list and that other one is not.

BUMMER, just when I was thinking that my store would get better now that it's not run by the Children's Place management.:sad2:

I'm always unimpressed with liquidation sales when some of the stores in the chain remain open. They truck away the better things to restock the stores that remain open, and use the closing stores to move the weaker things -- and very very slowly mark down items.

The one in my area is closing, Crossgates Mall,NY is on the list, but I won't miss it much. There used to be another Disney store in our area that was so much nicer - then they moved to Crossgates Mall and it wasn't the same. Just a plain old store with not much Disney spirit in it.
Guess I'll just have to go to WDW to shop, LOL! Kind of a long ride though.:rotfl:

About Missouri...

There are two stores in Branson that I believe are staying open. One is an outlet store and one is a regular store. They haven't been on any list, and they are the only stores in Missouri that appear if you search for a store on Disneystore.com.

I was at the Crestwood store yesterday. What a joke. Clearance items were an extra 40% off last week and this week they are only 10% off. I know they are now being handled by the liquidators, but still. I'm glad I had gone there last week and found some great sale items.

Also, I couldn't buy Disney Dollars there yesterday, so I wouldn't be surprised if you also couldn't buy a theme park ticket.

I guess I'll have to wait until our trip to Chicago this summer to get our Disney Dollars.

Add Southern Park Mall, Youngstown Ohio. The poor cast members were all crying while the liquidation company man was telling them how to dispose of all the remaining stock, I felt so bad for them.

Just wanted to say hi! My mom lives in Boardman (I grew up in Lisbon). :wave2:

I was at my local mall today, one that is on the list, and they had the signs all over. When I asked if they were closing all she said was that they were liquidating. Not really a straight answer. :confused3

liquidating = closing.

Oh no, that was my back up store in case all the Indy stores close. It is right by Mom's house. :sad2:
