Which Disney restaurant has the best food?

Tiffin's has been our favorite the last couple years. Meals have been excellent. The menu was a bit more exotic when it opened, which we loved...but it's been tamed down a bit since then. Also has the most unique beer on property...the Kungaloosh. Off topic, but does anyone who enjoys Kungaloosh have a good suggestion for a similar beer? Can't find anything like it.

This kind of hyperbole is really unnecessary. If you really thought it inedible, did you speak to the manager, and leave and find EDIBLE food somewhere? Did you pay to dine 5 times on inedible food? Did your server notice you were not eating anything and try to offer an alternative. I don't believe the oft-quoted INEDIBLE. After you left and your stomachs were rubbing on your backbones from hunger, where did you find edible food? Or did you just go without eating 4 of the 5 times you mentioned?
No, we didn't complain. We don't waste our time whining about food; we just don't eat it. It's no big deal. The server offered to bag it for us, being that we left it mostly untouched, and we said no, we don't want that. We did ask him to bag our leftover steaks. So they did know that we couldn't eat it. But no, they didn't offer an alternative. I have never returned a food at a restaurant just because it's inedible. We just pay for it and don't go back.

So it was NOT a hyperbole. The seafood noodles was INEDIBLE to us. To be precise, the noodles were bad. The seafood was even worse. And yes, during the times we had inedible food, like at the Liberty Inn and the Mexico restaurant, we just went hungry, got out of there, and I bought other stuff for the kids to eat later to make up for it. That's how we normally handle sit down restaurants. Both Liberty Inn and Mexico restaurant offered to bag it for us, but we said no.

We were not hungry after the California grill meal; like I said, the other stuff we ordered were amazing, easily the best meal we've ever had. We ordered 3 appetizers and 4 entrees total, for 3 adults and 1 baby. So we had more than enough food with just one rejected dish.

I am most offended by your obnoxious tone. Why are you trying to pick a fight over food-- our food??? Why are you attacking us because we don't like our food? Because you love all food in Disney? Well, good for you. Enjoy it and stop picking on people who might not. It's not a blessing to not like food.

I’m not the poster you responded to but I think most of us are just confused by your use of the term inedible. To me “inedible” would describe something that truly CANNOT be consumed....like a steak so over cooked it’s like shoe leather to chew, raw chicken, or spoiled seafood. Not noodles that you didn’t like the taste of. They are edible, you just didn’t like the taste. When you use a term in such a dramatic fashion it usually results in dramatic responses. :confused3

I think some people are very very picky and that’s why i don’t take dining reviews very seriously. I like reading them but i like to form my own opinions by trying it myself. There’s a certain persons dining reviews that i had to stop reading because i felt like they complained about every single place they went to. There was always something wrong. If that’s the case why do 1-2 ADRs a trip over the course of almost two weeks every single year? I don’t get people sometimes.

I’ve never had inedible food. Honestly I’ve never had a bad meal at Disney. Yes some are better than others but all out nasty or inedible food...no.

Cali grill is probably the best meal we’ve had at Disney.

I've never had anything at a Disney restaurant that was inedible, counter or signature. I've had bland, I've had cold when it should be hot and vice versa but it was still edible.

Places that are off the list pretty much for eternity and beyond: O'Hana's, tough cold meat, cold noodles, sweet salad dressing, I leave it to those who love it. ABC Commissary, edible but it doesn't stay in, not to be indelicate. Tony's, I'm a lover of red sauce, theirs nearly killed me with indigestion, not once but twice.

Usual faves that have disappointed of late, thus giving them a rest: Brown Derby (poor fish, lousy pork). California Grill (poor scallop, even poorer fish) and Jiko (sub the wild boar for pork, nah!)

New Surprises: Satuli's Canteen, QS Pandora, love those bowls.

Continual faves that never disappoint: Raglan, love, love love and there's Ger's bread pudding, Wolfgang Puck Express, Bacon wrapped meatloaf, Chinois chicken salad, Sci-Fi, the reuben (rest in peace) and fried pickles, Monsieur Paul's all of it, The Wave, great bar, wicked grits, Spice Road, yum, Marrakesh, love cous-cous, Wine Bar George, skirt steak platter, Frontera Cucina anything w/ salsa verde, Il Mulino, Blue Zoo, Citricos, Chef's, I love snails, Morrimoto's, Peking Duck, Mama Melrose, yes I too was surprised, pork saltimboca, Olivia's, conch fritters and fried chicken, Turf Club, lamb & beef any which way, Biergarten, love German food and BEER, which is only enhanced by the oom-pa-pa music. Rose & Crown, those damn Bangers and Mash, Boma, love the selections of soups, salads and bread pudding, and yes LTT, pot roast and that damn Ooey, gooey cake. I could go on and on.

If your best meal was at the Fish & Chips stand, it's all yours. But I will say, if my food was inedible, as you described or a steak which I enjoy med/rare came to the table as a burnt hockey puck, lol, I wouldn't "whine" about it but I would certainly bring it to the attention of my server and/or manager and I most certainly wouldn't pay for it. Thankfully I've never had to do so.

IMHO, Spice Road Table rules! The food, service and atmosphere are perfection, and we have been many times. Again, the food is amazing. Love the variety and the hummus fries are my favorite food in the whole world. I feel we stuff ourselves there but never feel 'stuffed' as the food is pretty healthy. The white sangria is really good too!
The people who work there are very kind and professional, also have never felt rushed (a rarity at WDW). The atmosphere, especially being seated outside, is very nice. The view is beautiful!

Couldn't agree more, best meal the last 2 trips, even the kids (early 20's) request it.

When you are paying something it should be at the very least edible if it is not why would you pay for it? however something not to your taste is whole different story some people like bland some people like the pepper shaker poured on etc.

I could have written this. Ohana is off my list too due to the tough meat, dry potsickers and noodles, etc. Is it inedible? No. its not. (Tony's meal was truly inedible). But its laughable that Ohana charges $55 per person!

Oh, and I agree about yummy Raglan, and WGPE (mmm meatloaf).

Inedible to me would be the egg rolls at the food truck from the China Pavillion; one bite and into the nearest trash can it went. Obviously, fried earlier in the day and re-heated thus the dough was soggy. The filling's protein (don't recall if it was pork or shrimp) was over cooked and pretty miniscule in proportion to the veggies.

Most of the OP's reviewed eateries aren't on my radar for places I've an interest in eating at but I do wish there were more details in what made most of those places inedible in her assessment.

Spice Road is incredible. What I really wish was that the food at Spice Road could be served with the stunning ambiance and atmosphere of Restaurant Marrakesh, though. But that's a small quibble. And RM is fine. I've eaten there twice, the meals were good, just not so special that I was ever dying to go back there, while Spice Road has sensational food, just without the frills of belly dancers and incredible decor.

Well, I absolutely LOVE your bluntness, though I do take it with a wee bit of a sense of sarcasm mixed with hyperbole - and I love it. I'm kinda the same way (if that's how you roll.) I'll add:

Ample Hills at The Boardwalk is outstanding for Disney World Ice Cream

I have an Ample Hills in my neighborhood and it's among my favorite ice cream, period! Not sure I'd qualify it as theme park ice cream only, since it is a small chain that exists outside of the bubble.

Kungaloosh is an amber/red spiced ale made in Florida by Concrete Beach Brewery
I believe it is only sold in bars or in kegs.

You are absosmurfly correct. Didn't mean it to be interpreted as "only" in wallyworld. It's definitely not only available in DW. Post edited.
I rate it top 5 all time in my ice cream trials anywhere. One thing I tell everyone to try if they are anywhere near is A.H. I plan to do an ice cream showdown of The France place, A.H, and The Fountain in just a few weeks.

The France place
It's on! BTW, the soft serve at the French crepe quiosk is the best!

If it’s s one credit table service meal managed by Disney don’t expect much. ( I actually no longer even bother.)

If it’s Signature run by Disney it’s generally not bad but can vary dramatically from bad (le Cellier) to very good (California Grill, flying fish, Jiko)

If it’s Signature not run by Disney it’s generally a safe bet. (Is Paddlefish Signature? If so that may be an exception)

If it doesn’t take DDP eat there.

That said OPs post is hysterical. The only thing edible at a buffet was broccoli. ( what didn’t they have bread). It’s clearly designed to incite posters on here. I think maybe they should just skip Disney from now on.

It's all subjective. It depends on one's palate, what one is used to eating, the emotional connection with Disney and Disney food, etc... and those things are all different for each of us. Out of all the years I've gone to Disney, which are many, I've had 2 things "inedible".... well really just 1. My dad ordered a lobster dish at Planet Hollywood years ago and it was off. Wow. Really spoiled lobster, if you've never tasted it, pray you that don't. They comped the dish, and probably should've comped more. The only other thing wasn't technically "inedible" but only inedible if we wanted to keep our teeth; it was a prepackaged Christmas Mickey cookie years ago. Hard as a rock.

I enjoy eating Tangierine Cafe's food, as well as Satu'li Canteen. For breakfast I enjoy Kona Cafe and the Grand Floridian Cafe. I'm pretty sure Victoria and Albert's is tops, but I've never ate there and I have no desire to. I enjoy sweets at Disney in France, Germany, Norway, etc...
