We picked PORiverside, because we have 5 going, and it's the most affordable way to take 5 to disney. Two rooms at a value, or the suites at a value are still more expensive then PORiverside. I cannot afford a deluxe (even though I would kill to stay at the Animal Kingdom) so that's how we decided. Not very long winded but there are few choices for 5 on a budget. If my youngest was going with us, then we would get a suite, but since she's just too young to enjoy herself and keep the older kids from getting testy because she's testy, she's staying with her Granne and Uncle and Aunt while we are gone.

Booked at CSR(which is lovely) but thinking of chaniging to BC or YC if a deal comes out. Already stayed at CSR early this year.

Check-out my ticker below

We picked BCV & AKV because we're DVC members and those are our favorite resorts. The two resorts have very different theming...but we love both.

it a fun choice! i think next trip (hopefully 2010) we are probably going to stay at akl, a 'reasonable' deluxe. however dh LOVES the epcot resorts, he might want to stay at bwi or our beloved bc again. i always have longed for a monorail resort...whichever we pick will probably become our new favorite :goodvibes

We are staying at POR because we have 5 in our party. This is our first trip I hope we like the resort.:)

We chose YC and AKL for our Nov. trip. We stayed at BWI last month and simply LOVED the Epcot Area. Loved being able to walk to DHS and Epcot and just really loved the atmosphere of the Epcot resort area. We also stayed last month for a night at AKL which DD loved. So for November I am trying YC (still epcot area) but rooms were recently rehabbed so anxious to see those and try a new resort - YC ensures a balcony whereas BC does not sot that tugged me towards YC. Tagging on 2 nights at AKL as well - so split stay 4 nights YC and 2 nights AKL for DD. AKL is pretty remote for me and i will use this time to relax, visit DTD or do other things that aren't too much involving the parks.

We're staying at Wilderness Lodge. It will be our third time staying there, because it's so beautiful! We love the atmosphere at "The Lodge"! Even with all the people milling around, there's a peaceful feeling when you enter the lobby. It feels so removed from all the business of the parks.

We are staying at CBR. This is our first WDW trip and I thought that this would be a nice kid friendly moderate resort. I have changed our ressies 4 times. I finally settled on CBR for the pirate themeing for our DS who is into pirates. My DD gets to do her princess thing so I thought this would be a good balance! :cool1:

As the ticker says, we are bouncing back the YC. We love the location and enjoy the abitlity to walk or boat to 2 of the parks. Add in the atmosphere of the resort and we were hooked.

Well my upcoming trip (in 3 years since my dh told me our next trip will be in 4 years & that was after last August's trip), anyways, I plan on a week at the BC & a week at the Poly.

My dh rolls his eyes with that one but if I can save the $$$ ahead of time for those 2 weeks he will be OK with it (I think).

Why did I chose them-

The BC because I haven't stayed there since I was 18 (I am 37). I have been dying to go back but I haven't because I love the monorail & the thought of limited monorail rides on a trip just stinks for me.

I have 3 kids & I thought about doing a split last year but my oldest was the only one who could swim so I knew the pool was a bit much for my kids at that time.

We go to Epcot alot (as well as the MK) so other then being a monorail ride away we can be a walk/boat launch ride away.

We hate the buses & any way possible to avoid a bus ride is a plus. So we can take the boat to DHS if we stay here. And only have to take the bus to AK & the water parks if we go to them (which I think I will in 3 years).

My father wants to go with us (he will be 74 as will my mom in 3 years). My mom likes the BC better then the Poly even though we spent many vacations at the Poly growing up. So my mother would rather stay at the BC if she came.

I chose the Poly because I love it. I grew up staying there & the few times I didn't stay there, I look at it & sigh...So I just can't stay there.

I love the view from the pool, I love the sounds of the boats or the MK. I love looking at WDW as I remember it as a child when it was just the MK, CR & Poly (yes to the left of my eye I do see the GF but that is OK).

I love the smell of it.

I love watching the fireworks from the pool if I chose to.

I love watching Illuminations & then rushing back to the monorail to get back 'home' & watching Wishes at 10.

I could go on but I won't.

I will say I chose a deluxe resort over a mod or a value because I like the option of a balcony/patio & I like the big slider that gives me lots of light.

CBR. We were there this year and are going back next year. We love the tropical feel and the pirate pool for the kids is awesome!!!! If we get an AWESOME code we may try the Poly. But it has to be an AWESOME code!

The Contemporary for our honeymoon! Might not be the most romantic, but it sure is the most "close enough to walk to the Magic Kingdom" :-D

So you just made me want to ditch our current plans and splurge for POLY the entire trip! I stayed there as a kid too and think we will now at least do our one night before the airport (doing Vero Beach in the middle) but hoping for a great deal and being able to swing POLY the whole time as a birthday treat to me...

Apart from the above I have choices listed below as
CSR 3 nights (newly renovated mod. and we liked our time @ CBR) (also going for DD 4th birthday and trying not to overspend this trip)
Vero Beach 4 nights (DH wanted beach time in ocean water warm enough to swim in)
POP one night (thinking it might be a good way to get a feel for a value without the commitment of many nights) (REALLY thinking of switching this night to to POLY... see above):wizard:

We picked POP for our upcoming trip, as it is our second visit this year, and we wanted to do it as cheaply as possible. Between the price at POP, and free dining, 8 nights at WDW is going to be cheaper for us than the same length of stay at "the beach". :goodvibes

We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We chose it because everytime we looked at resorts or watched the Disney specials on TV, it was the one resort that we all wanted to stay at. My sons love animals and are looking forward to doing the safari.

CBR. We were there this year and are going back next year. We love the tropical feel and the pirate pool for the kids is awesome!!!! If we get an AWESOME code we may try the Poly. But it has to be an AWESOME code!

I SO want to stay at the Poly again. :( Last time was when I was a kid with my mom almost 26 years ago. That place still makes me remember that trip, our first trip, and holds some great memories. Unfortunately, at normal rates, I just can't justify it today. I always tell myself I can do two trips for the price of one at the Poly, or GF.

With that said, the right code would absolutely put me back there! :)

We picked WL. I received an email pin code for 40%. We decided on that one because it's close to MK. We had already stayed at AKL and wanted to stay at a different deluxe resort.

Poly (club level)....we picked it becase :

1. We have always wanted to stay there
2. It is romantic and it is a b-day present fo me
3. We usually stay at AKL or BW because we are DVC members abnd we stayed at the GF last year for b-day
4. It's sentimental- it's where DH propsed
5. We are spending a lot of time OUT of the parks so wanted a full service, really well themed resort
6. Can see the fireworks from the beach, the pool and the cl lounge.
7. great food options and CR & Gf are just a monorail ride away.

and most of all...we got an amazing price for club level!!!!!! (35% off)
