Which Disney park celebrates Christmas best?

That's very interesting, Mike! Clearly, Jeff (who wrote the piece) is a very wise man!! He chose the right #1!!:rotfl2:

Well, in all seriousness, without having ever been to WDW I have not experienced all that there is during the holiday season. I think I would love the hotels' decor. But from what I've heard about Epcot, I thought it would rank higher on the list too. And I'm kind of surprised that Animal Kingdom came in where it did.

I agree with Jeff that the holiday possibilities of DCA after all the work is done are intriguing. I like the idea of the seashell wreaths at the Little Mermaid ride.

Interesting, I agree with all except the last two. DCA barely has decorations. AK has a themed Christmas Parade which is a great novelty to a park that doesn't have a castle and really doesn't lend it's self to being decorated.

I've never been to WDW during Christmas time but I know I need to visit it someday.

The once thing they have that is really cool, that I've suggested over and over should be in DCA. Is the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. It's in Hollywood studios in a section of the park called streets of America. You can imagine it as row houses and stores that are all false fronts for a movie backdrop. I'd like them to make a version on Hollywood Blvd since it has the tall buildings making a long coridoor.

If you look at the following live TR disser mvf-m11c will be in DHS and he will most likely be posting some awesome pictures or movies of Osborne lights.

I agree. It is really magical and beautiful, especially when the "snow" starts coming down. We were there around New Years about 3 years ago during a freezing cold snap and the snow actually seemed real because of it.:cloud9:

been to WDW 5 times at least during the holidays........for me the holiday tag at the ending of Illuminations is a life changing moment....time stands still with hope and possibilities. CP is inspiring and affirming, and Osborne lights are wicked good and fun. Cinderellas castle lighting show is pure emotion.

At WDW the highs are VERY high. The lows of course is that you have to travel to 4 parks for each highlight, so the total experience can be diluted. At DLR you can experience all of the holiday treats in a single magical day.
Flip side again is that because of the 4 parks WDW handles the crowds better........

I can't believe he didn't have a picture of IASWH at night. :confused3:

I have a suspicion the author never saw that, because if he had he would know there is nothing close to DL in WDW at all.

Thanks for the heads up on the trip report. I will subscribe and follow along. We haven't been back to WDW for quite some time. The kids are growing up and we want to visit some other things before we will get a chance to visit again. In fact we have DL slated for 2012 just not sure if we should go during summer or Christmas. We love playing in the ocean.
