We are heading over to California in October, and have a four year old son, what Disneyland hotel would you recommend that has the most four year old friendly stay.

I know all Disney hotels are great but we have stayed at most of the WDW hotels including the Grand Floridian and although wonderful wasn't quite so child friendly.

Any suggestions would be a great help.

Thanks

I think the Disneyland Hotel would be best for you. It is more colorful and "fun" for kids. The Grand Californian is beautiful and more convenient to the parks but not as neat for the kids.

I have to agree, I like both places but the Disneyland Hotel has much more kid appeal. The GC is in a terrific location, can't be beat, but with the DLH you are also closer to the monorail, which is wonderful in itself.

Just returned from DLH & have to say that it is a very kid friendly hotel! My DH & I stayed there for 3 days (we did Concierge) & really enjoyed it. I know that is where I will be staying on my next trip when we bring our kids. The pool is Peter Pan themed, which I know the kids will love. Even though it wasn't all that warm there were still plenty of kids in the pool. After all, kids will be kids! The game room was a nice size also. Plenty to keep little ones busy. My DH & I visited the GCH & thought it was beautiful, but not as kid friendly. It reminded us of WL @WDW, & while we love that theme, we don't think the kids would like it as much. Overall, I would pick DLH, I don't think you or your son will be disappointed! Enjoy! Kathy :)
