We have only eaten at Le Cellier once so we might have just been there on an off night. We are very forgiving when it comes to servers, we understand they are busy and as long as they are somewhat friendly we are good. However, we had literally the most atrocious service at Le Cellier so my DH refuses to ever go back. We don't know if our server was friendly because after he took our drink order he disappeared. We actually had to ask other servers to bring our drinks, take our order, bring our food, and get our bill. There were several other tables that had the same problem. It was brought to the attention of the other servers but no one seemed to care that the server for several tables just vanished into thin air. My DH calmly and quietly explained to the people at the front check in area what was happening (thinking that someone needed to take care of the problem so it wouldn't continue with additional guests) as we left, they just looked at one another was a blank expression like they had no idea what to do and one of them said "Sorry" like it wasn't an issue. Our food was good but, honestly, at Epcot we think there are many more interesting options than steak.
However, BOG has consistently surprised us with the quality of food and service. We have been there at least 5 times for dinner and every single time we have had amazing servers. We also always get the steak at BOG and we are always so surprised at how good it is. We live in Texas and have been to a lot of really great steakhouses. No, the steak isn't on par with a $100 steak from an amazing steakhouse (but I always have difficulty with ANY steak being that expensive), but it is very good for the price you are paying. My DH, son, and I all agree that the steak at BOG is better than the steak we had at Le Cellier - I'm sure the poor service there probably caused us to enjoy our steak less than we would have if we had had decent service. I also think the atmosphere at BOG is fun, even in the main dining room.
We are trying Yachtsman on our next trip so it's possible BOG will no longer be our favorite WDW steak.
