We are going to be adding the REAS and as I recall from a previous cruise, we got to pick the order of dining rotation that we wanted. Which one is preferable and why? I just can not recall and now there are other factors such as Pirate night, etc. Which night is best for Palo as well. Thanks in advance for all of your help. Momdoc :Pinkbounc

Many people want to be in Luminers for formal night. IMO it doesnt matter which rotation I have, as long as I am on the ship!!!

This is a pretty individual thing, I think, but we had Animators/Lumiere's/Parrot Cay and thought it was the best for us. Animator's Palette does the color thing on the first night of everyone's rotations but they also do it on the last night so the kids got that twice and we ate there three times. Parrot Cay was probably our least favorite and we only had to go once since we did Palo's on the 2nd night of that rotation.

AP was definitely the kids' favorite...and they were much more occupied in there. (Our table faced one of the video screens...I rarely saw my DD9's face during dinner as he was always turned that way.)

Can you request a specific rotation before the cruise if you don't purchase any of the packages?

Yes you can request (but they say never guarenteed) which rotation you would prefer. If you choose to start with Animators, you not only get Lumiere's for formal night... but you also get Parrot Cay for Pirate's night. The themes just seem to flow better.

What is the order, in other words which restaurants follow each other in the rotation (for 7 night)?

The three rotations are PLA, APL, & LAP (P=Parrot Cay, L=Luminers, A=Animators Palate)....

We just cruised last week and we had PLA. We had Lumiere's for formal night (Sunday) and Parrot Cay for Pirate night (Tuesday)

Yes. Your last night in the dining rooms (on the 7-night) is where you dined the first night. :earsgirl:

We had APLAPLA on the 6/25 cruise, early seating and we were the first group to disembark at the end of the cruise. I have no ideas if the disembarcation schedule is set in stone but this may be the rotation you need if you want to be among the first off the ship. I was relieved we didn't have to wait around the ship on the last morning.

Just curious, did you have teenagers in your group or only adults? I read another post that this was the most common assignment for groups such as these. Thanks!

It was me (no teenager!) and my boys who are 9 & 12. Our tablemates had kids who were 11 and 13. The table next to us had preschoolers.
