I cannot decide which dining plan to choose! We can get the Dining Plus included with our package (1 quick-service meal, 1 table-service meal, 1 snack/day/person) OR upgrade for $900 more to the Deluxe plan which gives us an extra snack and 3 table-service meals/day/person. We are a family of 4. The kids are 12 and 3<--picky eater. Is it worth the extra money to have all the meals sit-down type?

DVC doesn't have packages so I can't help you there. As far as which plan, we look at the menus, decide on what we want to eat and go with the plan that has the best cost savings.

Lately we only do the DDP for a couple of days and eat in our villa or off site to really save the bucks.

My advice would be to get the plan that most closely fits with the amount of food you would normally buy at Disney if you were paying for it all out of pocket.

When I've done 2 table service meals in a day, I realized that's a lot of time spent dining.
You can have the 60-90 minutes in transportation (or avoid a ride due to an ADR) time plus a 30 minute wait to be seated, plus 60+ minutes dining, and waiting for the check... You could be spending 6-8 hours a day just eating 2 sit down meals. I would only do it if you tried multiple meals before.

Now if you would normally eat at signature options, and have all ADR's made, it can be a good deal.

We utilized the DDP for part of our last stay - for 4 of our 15 nights. We are also a family of 4 who vacations at Disney quite a lot. We loved the DDP, but we did joke that we spent our days going from one restaurant to another. On the days where we ate at 2 table service restaurants per day, we didn't spend much time in the parks. Keep in mind that you have to plan your days around your ADR's, and there is travel time, and possible long waits for your table to be ready. We usually planned on at least 2 hours per meal. For us, that is fine - we are at Disney so much that we don't mind missing out on the parks for meals. If you really want to experience all of the rides/shows/attractions at the parks, or if your trip isn't for that many nights, I would skip the DDP, and just get the regular DP.

DOn't forget, you could do both. You could do one for a few nights and the other for a few nights. We are doing the DxDDP in OCtober as it is just my DH and myself and we wanted some signature places. Don't forget, you could do Cinderella's Castle and some of the "dinner shows" for 2 credits too. Plus, it comes with 2 snacks and the refillable mug. Take a look at the menus on allears and see what you would eat. The DxDDP also includes an appetizer which the other does not. Good luck with your decision.

Im doing the regular dining 1 quick 1 table 1 snack...I dont want to be tied to reservations to all my meals ...lost of park time for sure!!!
