Our only complaint with the Star Wars party is lack of seating and table space. First, the table are stand up only--no seating. Not my favorite way to eat, even desserts! Secondly, they seem to sell more tickets than there are tables. We claimed a table by arriving a little early, and left some stuff on it to show it was occupied, but when we got back from the buffet line, the table had been poached. After discussing we shared the table, but six individuals sharing a 24" round table top is not too convenient. People were roaming around looking to snatch table space, and some were sitting on the floor.
Other than that, the viewing space was great and we enjoyed the evening.
, who knows. We enjoyed the show; unfortunately it was a one and done for us.I don't know if the people that complain assume that there's seating or just don't read the description on the party's web page where it states that "Seating is not available."We did this party two summers ago and there were many complaints about lack of seating then
It's not that they will not provide seating, it's that they can't. The "Disney reasoning" is simply that there is no room. The current space allocated for the party will not accommodate the number of people required if chairs were provided.its discouraging to hear that the seating issue is still ongoing. I don't know why they will not provide additional seating; must be some sort of 'Disney reasoning' behind this decision, who knows.

This fits in with everything else they’ve been doing. Disney is trying to squeeze every cent they can at the expense of guest satisfaction. They figured out if they didn’t supply chairs (because who doesn’t love eating standing up...and paying a lot of money for the privilege) they could squeeze in more people and make more money. And chairs cost money you know! They’re saving money and making more money. Watch out, in a few years guests will have to share plates...As I stated, we attended this event during the first summer it was offered; summer of 2016 I believe. I did not purchase our tickets online. When I called Disney dinning to purchase the tickets, I was never informed that there would be no seating, had this been pointed out to me, I would not have attended this event. IMHO additional seating could be added to accommodate party guests at this location if they limited the amount of tickets sold for this event.
They could sell less ticketsI don't know if the people that complain assume that there's seating or just don't read the description on the party's web page where it states that "Seating is not available."

Why would they do that? They've turned people away the last few weeks. They could sell less tickets
