Which Deluxe Resort do you prefer?

in real estate, there are three rules: location location location.

The Poly has this hands down. Right next to the TTC-good for Epcot (and an alternative for buses to/from elsewhere-ie you can take the Poly bus or the TTC bus) , on the MK monorail, and the most convenient parking lot.

Rooms apparently are bigger than all deluxes except the Contemp.

If you want to stay in the MK area without kids, I would go Grand Floridian.

We love the Contemporary Tower, 11th floor, with a view of the Magic Kingdom. Our February trip will be our second time staying there and we cannot wait. The view is fabulous!!

The Boardwalk!! We stayed at the BWI in January and the BWV in October. At the Inn side, we had a standard room and had a fabulous view of World Showcase at Epcot. We could see the Eiffel Tower and some of the other countries right from our balcony. We were also able to watch Illuminations right from our balcony. There are beautiful garden areas that are always empty. And also a really nice quiet pool (if you are looking more for romantic areas). Not to mention all the action out on the BW. Good luck deciding!

WL!!!!!!!!!!!! romantic fireplaces, lounges, porches throughout...
the continous sound of a waterfall outside, boats, bikes, a nature trail to walk, a romantic sleigh ride, lots of romantic dining nearby (AP, Cali, V&A), a boat ride home from the Mk at night (first stop)..two very nice hot tubs....

1. Poly. Love the south Pacific aura, and the Kona and 'Ohaha restaurants are also favorites! It doesn't hurt that the transportation is so easy with small children, but thats actually only a secondary consideration. The Poly guests seem to be more fun than elsewhere, but maybe that's just because they are more like me. :D

2. Grand Floridian. 180% difference in atmosphere from the Poly but outstanding in its own Victorian way. Great food in the restaurants, didn't care for the bars nearly as much here though. The Grand has the romance thing in spades! My wife loves the spa. A+ for a elegant WDW experience.

3. Everything else.

We prefer YC or BC. Love the Epcot Resort area and find it's great for us - we don't have any kids. We enjoy all the dining and stuff to do along the Boardwalk area. Also, it's fantastic to walk over to World Showcase. And, we find the resorts to have excellent CM's and lovely theming. Not to mention STORMALONG BAY. Freezing my you know what off right now...waiting for supposed snow flurries - would love to be in Stormalong Bay at this moment.

I vote for WL. The theming is great, it's a really beautiful resort. The CM's were fab too. However, we've also stayed at BWI and it too was great.

I live close to WDW and don’t have to stay at any resort, but when we do it is WL. We also drive down for dinner at many of the resorts. WL is one of the smaller resorts, therefore less lines and more space. Also it’s secluded location makes you feel as if you are not at WDW, but a private resort. We have gone down for a quick weekend getaway, like last September. There is the main pool and for more relaxation there is the smaller Villas pool.
You mention spending most of the time at the resort and WL fits that to a “T”. because like I said we live close to WDW and hit the parks on one day jaunts often. You can take a Launch over to Fort Wilderness for the free campfire and Disney movie, Trails End Buffet which is very reasonable in price and good food.
Go to WL FAQ Part 3, pages 1 & 2 will give you all the information you need. You will want to take the kids back with you on your next stay.
