Which Deluxe at Christmas time

If room only discount comes out and it works I may upgrade from POFQ (already booked) to a Deluxe. I am trying to decide which of three "areas" to choose as each has its strong points to me. I have not included Poly as that seems really expensive or AK lodge as just not sure of how far out it is. I am just interested in what others who have been at Christmas time (we have never been at that time of year) think. Thanks.

That's a tough call. Part of it depends on how much you want your resort to be decorated for Christmas. The other part is the location. it is extremely convenient to be at the Contempo/BLT that time of year if you are going to spend a lot of time at MK because of the ability to walk to the park but it probably has the least decorations. The Epcot resorts are obviously great if you prefer to spend s lot of time in that area and have nice decorations. The Wilderness Lodge has the best decorations and great theming overall. It is pretty close to the MK, but it can take a while to get there this time of year as you might not get on the next bus and the boat is extremely slow. We have stayed at the BC and the VGF this time of year and loved both.

YC in early December is yearly tradition for me as I am a big EPCOT fan. I do visit others to enjoy the decor and the pastry treats at the CR are a favorite.

I would say none of those but GF. We have stayed at WL over Christmas time and it's beautiful but it will be undergoing construction this year through 2017.

I voted for the WL. All of the resorts are beautifully decorated, but the WL is our favorite during the holidays. The lobby is gorgeous and is very inviting with the huge fireplace in the center surrounded by rocking chairs. With that said, AKL is also very nice and although the resort is kind of isolated, we thought the transportation was fine. We found it to take maybe 5 extra minutes to get around compared to other resorts. Since the buses only service AKL and Kidani, there's no sharing with any other resort(s).

I voted for WL only because we had a great Christmas there last year. But I agree with the previous poster who mentioned construction. I would be cautious staying there over the next couple of years.
The GF has amazing decorations!

Of the three I would pick WL but if, as previously mentioned, it will be under construction I would stay at AKL. During the holidays transportation can be tricky due to the huge crowds and it really doesn't matter what resort you are staying at. Even the monorail will have extremely long waits. Because AKL doesn't share a bus it doesn't seem to take quite as long. Also, the decorations at AKL are beautiful. We've stayed at all of them, most over Christmas, and I can honestly say our best stays were at AKL or WL.

GF . Although out of your selections, WL is supposed to be beautiful at Christmas (but I wasn't a fan of the resort itself).
