Which DCL Stingray City Tour?

OK. We know all about Capt. Marvin, but want to do one of the DCL Stingray City excursions in Grand Cayman. Our kids are 6 & 9. We want the highlight of the tour to be being in the water with the stingrays with subsequent visits to the Turtle Farm and HE_ _ (I could care less about this stop).

We'd like to hear anyone's experience with these tours.

We did the one through DCL called "Island Tour and Snorkeling With The Stingrays." We pre-booked it, but I went to the talk and they said that the difference between that one and the other one (which sounds the same from the description but has a different name) is that the one we went on has smaller groups. You can read all about it in my trip report in www.castawayclub.com but I'll give a few highlights here. It was GREAT! We enjoyed Hell (rock formation...the souvenirs you can buy are the best part), and we had our pictures taken with the turtles at the turtle farm and had some of the excellent rum cake, bu the best part was the stingrays. We had been broken down into small vanloads of people, and each small group went on its own boat. The captain of the boat was in the water with us to hand out food so we could feed the rays, help us with photos (even holding the rays over our heads!), etc. We loved it and are planning to do it again in January. My only warning is that the tour ran much longer than the time stated in the brochure...we were almost late for our spa appointments!

I'm looking at my excursion form and am still confused about which Stingray City Tour you guys took. It seems like it might be the Land & Sea Island Tour because of the semi-sub, but doesn't say you actually swim with the stingrays. The one we're leaning toward is Stingray City Snorkeling & Discover Cayman Tour. It has two times listed. The early one leaves the ship at 7:50. It doesn't say what mode of transportation takes you to Stingray City - the other one is on a catamaran...

Then, there's a third one listed called the Island Tour & Snorkeling with the Stingrays, but that one looks like it has more "land" sightseeing like 7 Mile Beach and the Old Homestead.

If you can help decipher these, I'd really appreciate it.

Just read the bulk of your trip report regarding excursions in Grand Cayman and would like to pick your brain a bit.

The "Island Tour and Snorkling w/Stingrays" is what I'm interested in but DH has no interest in "wasting time" at the Turtle Farm. Can you remember about how much time was spent there? How about at Stingray City?

You also mention many excursion vendors on land. Do you think we could find someone there who might take us to all the places that the DCL excursion does WITHOUT the Turtle Farm?
