Which days would you go to the parks?

We are staying with DH in Newport while he is at a work conference M-F the first week of December. After his conference we will move on to the HOJO from Sat-Tues. I bought DH a 4 day hopper for when we move on to HOJO. I bought DS and I 5 day hoppers plus 2 day hoppers so I'll have 3 days during the week solo with the kids. Most likely hitting the parks at rope drop, it's 9 Mon-Thurs, and leaving in the afternoon and hope the kids nap while I drive back to the hotel to meet up with DH.

I'm thinking if using our three days Tues-Thurs., what do you think? I figure Monday they'll be cranky from driving down on Sun., and I figure Fri. could be a busier weekday plus give them time to take it slower and rest up for moving onto the parks with DH where we will be doing more and staying later. Anything I should know about weekdays? Is any day busier than others? I don't need to use my passes consecutively right? Thanks!

1. Check entertainment - some things you might want to see may be playing only on the weekend. Which would mean Friday would be a good day to do that.

2. Pay attention to EMH - If you are the type that will arrive at the gate near park opening would choose to go first to the park that does not have EMH

The closer you get to the middle of the week the slower it is. Tues and Weds are the best.
We were there last week and it was fabulous!
